Go for Pirelli SD....comes in 140/70 section. Cost will be around 3.5K.Originally posted by BAMBI143 View PostI have a question my friend's Fz is 11k kms old he got multiple puncteres in the rear stock revz he want to change it to something else of 140 section what will be best suitable budget arround 3k (can be more if necessary). And availability in kolkata is a issue please suggest.

guys,
What's the maximum mileage have you got out of your Fazer, I m pretty relexed rider and don't cross the 80 Kmph mark usually. Just wanted to find out if the low mileage is because of rash riding or it is like that, as most of ppl i talked to claim mileage b/w 30-35 Kmpl.
Also I've heard that the mileage drops down on highway ... is it true ?

thrash mode 35-36 kmpl
splendor mode(driving like an 70 yr old uncle) 45-49 kmpl
Fazer owners can throw a better light on this..

possibly richer AFR setting on your carb.. ask the svc guys to tune the carb properly.. if the carb is on richer tune, the spark plug electrodes will show darker blackish colour.. very lean setting, whitish colour, correct setting brownish...Originally posted by harsh8 View Posti get 30kmpl in normal mode ! 2000km old !

clutch can be adjusted by the svc themselves, hope they have lubed the cables properly during servicing..

Go to SVC and get your clutch settings as per your requirement. Ask them to check your Carb settings.
Did you ever change the stock Carb settings?

Take your bike to a tyre repair or change shop and get it checked for any rim bends.... You can also check the same by manual inspection.... Some bends are repairable but if anything major is there you might have to get the rim changed or you can go for a tube inside the tyre.... Btw did you hit any pothole or anything at high speeds?Originally posted by harsh8 View Postno i didnt .... :|
