what is the mileage that you are getting?Originally posted by suman63 View PostI own a Yamaha Fazer LE, 2009. But the problem I face is that it has literally a very low mileage at city rides..and it heats up too much travelling a few kms. Have done services..dont know how to cope up with these probs. should tuning be done, if so how? suggestion would be helpful.
tuning your carb should be the answer as low mileage comes in when excess of fuel is poured into the cylinder which also results is overheating sometimes....
for tuning you can take it to the svc and just tell the mechanic over there to tune the bike for mileage...
or else you can got the DIY route search the net for tune your carb....Timon: Orange Yamaha FZ16 2009

i'd like to differ on this aspect, a rich mixture doesn't but a lean mixture tends to heat up the engine.Originally posted by kinshuk.arya View Postlow mileage comes in when excess of fuel is poured into the cylinder which also results is overheating sometimes.... .

if possible stand on their heads while they are servicing....Originally posted by alto View PostHello everyone,
My first service is nearing. Please tell me the things I need to do at 1st service. Should I do chain cleaning & lubricating?
and make a list of things given in the service book which are to be done for the servicing and check them while they are being done...Timon: Orange Yamaha FZ16 2009

The idle rpm should be around 1200rpm.Originally posted by BAMBI143 View PostHi everybody got my FZ back after 2nd service i was facing a issue with starting svc guy increased d idle rpm to 1000 rpm i think

installing or not installing the kick depends on you... and it will cost around 3k only.
my battery was recharged after around 1.5 years and still it is working properly. with this bike you dont need to worry about the battery till around 2-3 years of operation after that just replace the battery and enjoy the kickfree operation again....Timon: Orange Yamaha FZ16 2009

See to it that the service personnel dont rip u off on the pricing front of the chain clean/lube. They tend to charge rs. 170Originally posted by alto View PostHello everyone,

which is exorbitant.

Hey RanjithMN,Originally posted by RanjithMN View PostAnyone has got Joel's FFE yet?
had a word with Joel anna yesterday and the Free Flow Exhaust is ready from his line up of goodies for FZ. If you want it to be shipped to your place then you will have to make the payment in advance (FFE cost + shipping cost..all bank details can be taken from Joel directly)
Just for the heck of it, i had also checked with him, if there is any need to tweak the carb setting post FFE installation to which he said no need. I am going ahead with the FFE somewhere in May, as i am really impatient and getting hold of leaves right now for installing all the performance upgrades at one go is next to impossible!! .. will post results and videos and pics once i get hold of it!!
According to Joel, grunt wise, one will witness a significant bump of 10 - 15%!!
