Motul is a good brand to opt for.
Yamalube is the same as motul as Yamaha gets it packaged from motul under the name Yamalube.....

you can also go for semi synth or full synth from castrol, shell, motul or the yamalube for R15 (semisynth motul)

other than this you can also opt for castrol....

DONOT EVER GO FOR VEEDOL.... its a horrible horrible oil.....

yeah, but now if you see the prices of both the yamalube and motul are the same rather it be mineral for fz or semi synth for the r15...

Hmmm, so the Yamalube semi-synth can be used as the substitute for Motul 10w40 semi-synth (since it isn't in production anymore)

nope it cant be used as the yamalube semi synth is 15W50 and not in the same grade as that of fz's oil....

Though both are Motuls vast difference in quality. Yamalube made with Yamaha specs. Motul 3000 mineral passes better standards, JASO-MA2. Yamalube mineral loses smoothness much faster than Motul.

                            • had a wierd incident today. Mine is the limited edition with the kick start. I hadn't started the bike for the past 5 days and so tried cranking with the kick start. After some 5-6 trials with no success I turned the choke on and cranked and cranked and cranked but was of no use. Turned the choke off and checked to see if the fuel knob and engine kill switch were in correct position (and they were). Tried the self start and within one click it started. Turned it off after a couple of seconds and tried the kick start and it failed again. Used the self start again, idled for a minute or so, turned off and tried the kick start again. This time it worked. :|
Is the kick start useless? or has the self start and kick start swapped themselves ? :-s

                              • Fazer Problem

I own a Yamaha Fazer LE, 2009. But the problem I face is that it has literally a very low mileage at city rides..and it heats up too much travelling a few kms. Have done services..dont know how to cope up with these probs. should tuning be done, if so how? suggestion would be helpful.
Will I go to Hell or Heaven?
