    • Need some help & info.

Guys, today I rode my bike after two days. For some work I had to stop for a while & I switched off the ignition key after switching off the engine with engine kill switch. The next moment when I started the bike there was nothing on the tachometer, it was totally dead & not even the neutral light was glowing when I shifted back to neutral & neither ther warning light was glowing after I switched off the engine kill switch. But other electricals (which includes head/tail light, horn & self starter motor) were working fine including the new LED light stickers I recently put myself. And after switching off the ignition key OFF & ON once again everything was normal again.
What may be the reason for it & how can it be resolved ???

Good warning from your ride to get the electrical connections checked and replugged tightly.. Check the health of the battery too.. If your bike is 2 years or more old... then chances are the battery is hitting the last stages of being functional..

          Cheers,
The battery is fine coz last month when I got it charged from a local but very good battery wala, he said the battery is absolutely fine & it just need a little bit of maintainance at that moment of time (you know filling water & all that stuff). Also when the problem arised the bike started with just a click & all other electricals were absolutely working fine as I earlier said.

Check for the fuse. Recently i also had the same issue, the display was not there (din check the other electricals at dat time). I got my fuse changed and its all better now.

You mean to say that I should change the fuse - Right..
but other electricals are absolutely working fine & also when I restarted my bike everything was perfectly working absolutely fine (till now).

Well, if everything is fine, then why get bothered?

I had no option but to change the fuse, since my bike was not starting.

I would suggest, get the fuse checked by the mechanic (no matter what, he will tell you to change it )

Like others have suggested, better be safe than sorry. Check all the electrical circuits, fuses, battery etc.. The bike won't start acting strange on its own.. There would be some problem that caused the shut-down at that time..

                  • Did the engine oil and filter change.
I noticed strong smell of petrol in the oil and the oil level have gone down by nearly 200 ml just in 1k km.
Is the oil level going down has something to do with petrol smell ??
I hope my bike is running rich but it returns a mileage of 43 kmpl on the RC big bore and RC cmashaft. Also the rpm dooes come down as it should
                    Please provide your inputs

                    • Guys, I am having serious mileage and pick up issues lately. The bike gives a mileage around 25Kmpl , I filled in 1 litre and rode exactly 25kms the bike went into it reserve again. I wouldnt complaint if it was something near 30+ mark with good pickup. The ride is pretty sluggish and pull that used to be there in intial gears is missing.

The bike 22K on the odo last service was done on 20k and piston and rings set was changed during the service. 1000KM back changed the rear tire to tuffgrip

What could be the problem , what are the diagonistics to be done?

                      • I noticed a bump on my bike's rear tyre the other day. I didn't feel anything odd about the ride until I noticed it and then felt it on smooth roads. What must be the cause? What do I do now?

                        • Do not ride the bike anymore.
That tyre can burst and cause you to crash. If you must then ride slowly and with a few psi lower than recommended.
The tyre layers have been damaged and need to replace the whole tyre.
This may be possible under warranty as this is a manufacturing defect.

Time for a new tyre mate.

                          • This has happened to me, It most probably is loose battery terminals or a weak battery

I'd try to Warranty claim that
It looks like a very weak Tyre inner lining
