Well, that's a cool logo mate.Originally posted by jibin View PostHi,
Some idiot stole my Yamaha logo on the air scoop. Even if i get another logo sticker, that too will be eventually gone as it is easy to take out.
So decided to make my own logo ...
Here are the pics of my new logo and HID light

What all modifications you had to do, to fit the projector?
Since, the whole cylinder along with piston and piston rings were changed. The bike was almost like a brand new. Did you follow the rules for running in period?Originally posted by Mizt View PostThe piston and ring set was completely changed along with the cylinder , I have to recheck this will the service bill to be sure. The service enginer said he had to wait for a cylinder part to arrive from Yamaha to fix the bike.
I didnt feel the power loss while throttling earlier but now I do it started happening suddenly may be its because I have already run 2500kms on the yamalube mineral oil, could this be the issue.
For running in, it is always wise to use the mineral oil.
Cheerz!!The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!
Headlight can be replaced, Head cannot be. Wear a helmet.

Query Approved and MergedOriginally posted by hotshot1986 View PostI have an YAMAHA FAZER ,but for quite while the bike has a starting trouble i.e when I push the self start there is
no response.Even thought I got a dying battery ,it should put show some crank sound or the cranking should cause all the light on the console to go out due to
the weakness of the battery. But nothing there is not even a single sound or vibration.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Did you change the oil after running in period?Originally posted by Mizt View PostWhich shop in pudupet?
Yes I have the done the run in .
Did you do the cylinder change and its assembly from a reputed guy? What was the reason to change the whole thing?
Also, look out for any damage to the exhaust, exhaust pipe.

It was done in yamha svc it was covered under warranty since I wrote a complain mail to yamaha. They said the engine was about to seize and made the replacements.
I have not found time to change the oil then, will do it this weekend. I will check for exhaust pipe damage as well.

Short trip to Himalaya
Hi guys,
this is a slight OT. I just wanted to share my experience with the mountains and this time from Amritsar, Punjab to the beautiful Himachal Pradesh. I was out on a project so just managed to click a few pics here and there whenever i got the chance. I must say i was very impressed with the network coverage all across the state, something which is quite rare in the hilly regions in India. Anyways i believe let the pics do the talking and let me keep quiet till then

Pic 1: The Golden Temple at night: Amritsar, Punjab

Pic 2, 3 & 4: 90' angle views of the Golden Temple

Pic 5: One of the entrance inside the Golden Temple, Amritsar

Pic 6: Enroute Dharmsala, Himachal Pradesh

Pic 7, 8, 9 , 10, 11 & 12: Nobulingka Institute, Dharmsala, Himachal Pradesh

Pic: 13, 14, 15 & 16: campus inside the Norbulingka Institute

Pic 17: Enroute: Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh

Pic 18: Evening Hotel View at Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh

Pic 19, 20 & 21: Chamera Lake, enroute Chamba, Himachal Pradesh

Pic 22: Need i say more? The Himalayas view at Chamba, Himachal Pradesh

Pic 23, 24 & 25: Bhamour, Himachal Pradesh
The route taken was Amritsar - Dharmsala - Dalhousie - Mcleodganj - Chamba - Bharmour and back to Amritsar. Out of all places for me, i really enjoyed Dharmsala at Norbulingka institute where they do have guest house on first come first serve basis. The food is authentic tibetian and one can also order continental as they do serve a lot of foreigners there. This time unfortunately the travel was done on 4 wheels instead of two so respecting the forum rules i am not posting the images of the vehicle used to complete this trip. Would i recommend anyone to go for a touring on two wheels in this region? definitely!! Although the terrain may not be as difficult as Leh, Ladakh, however the roads are quite challenging; good enough for the first timers

Irritated with the stock rear tyre.punctures and leakages never seem to stop.morover, the previous patchworks seem to be giving up. Total punctures 14. Distance run 8000kms. Dont wanna slime. Tubeless hard compound is a priority. Radial is a benefit. Would like to upsize or go with the stock size. Need feedback for the following, along with price if possible. Also how much can i expect as exchange for the stock tyre?
KTM Duke 200's tyre (is it a soft compound?)
CBR 250R's conti-go (retails for 2800,semi-compound?)
Dunlop Tuffgrip (2800-3000,heard lots of good reviews here) availability is a problem.
Zappers with the same 140 width?
Don't wanna slip and fall with the new tyre, thoda grip chahiye as the stock softie has spoilt me with lovely cornerings.
