The other good ones are Motul Semi synth, BP's 4T NXT.

Stay clear off Savsol, Castrol Activ.

Yamalube stays in the neutral zone.
I have been using Motul on my fazer. Right now on Motul 5100 15W50 Semi Synth oil. Its very good. Will switch to a fully synth oil on my next service.

Depends on which brand of oil you are looking for. I can guide you to a shop selling Motul in BTM Layout.

        Cheers!!

Yamalube is absolute horror man. Its a namesake oil.

I am also planning to switch to better grades of oil.

I am somehow not looking at Castrol. Marketing gimmicks don't work for me.

Which is better between shell and motul? Price comparo?

i wanted to know that ' is a relay circuit necessary..?
i just fitted them without a relay.. As on the box, it wasn't mentioned.
i got scared for my battery and changed back to stock 'peeeee' horn
Yes fitting a relay is compulsory ,as these ROOTS windtone horn are made for used in cars (which have bigger amp battery)
so if you want to make them work efficiently on your bike you must add a relay in the circuit to provide the power that is needed by these horn!
use a Bosh orignal relay which is really a good one and will not affect your battery!

Power rating was checked and it was good.Bike has done 22k in 2 years.
I checked with all yamaha service centres and they dont have the RELAY in stock now or they are refusing it to sell in the counter.
Can i fit any other aftermarket relays if so what should i ask for?
also we cleaned the airfilter and stupid yamaha is refusing to sell even an air filter at counter@BIKERS YAMAHA,chrompet, chennai.
Best thing to do will be take the sample of your relay to local spare part store and see if they have a similar relay!
also tell them to show u starter relay of honda Activa i think that is similar to our yamaha !
or wait for orignal part to come to your service center!

              • Guys, i met with a small accident yesterday and had to brake really hard to avoid much damage, this resulted in locking of my front wheel and i skidded. Nothing serious though.

The issue is that, my brake light remains on even if i dun apply the brakes. I checked the rear brake switch and that is fine.

Can anyone help me sort this thing out?

                Cheerz!!

To check the brake light switch ,you will find two wires connecting the front brake lever below the brake oil reservoir
just disconnect one wire connecting the brake switch after that if the brake light goes off then
surely your brake switch is stuck and damaged!

Yup bro, the brake switch is damaged. Got it checked at a local garage.

                              Thanks for the help bro.

There is a biking accessories shop in Church Street near Brigade road. Its called BikingSpirits.in. Check out. They have good accessories such as tank/saddle/pannier bags, riding gear, performance air filters etc. But dont think you'll get engine oils and stuff. For these kind of things JC Road is the place. But you have to make sure you dont get duped there. I've never been there, but usually ask a known mechanic to get stuff from there if I need something.
