, although I haven't fallen off it yet **touchwood** ... but I don't think you should be too worried about scratches on the mirror and indicators ... If you've got it on the tank , then you need touch up paint ... else let it be , you'll get used to it ... don't worry too much about the fall ,you never learn unless you fail ...

HI Braveheart ,Originally posted by Braveheart View Postmaybe tacho is at fault or the speedo... but m no expert. my 4000-4500 rpm is smwhere 50-55kmph

gawd.
... my bike looses power at 7500 rpm.... then do you forget to change gears or its just the vibes that you like or its just me whose bike runs out of steam there... and mine never crosses 8000
in straight without slope... comes to around 110kmph now its dropped to 104 today
. well i need an oil change as far as i know... will recheck after service.
well at high engine speeds damage is done when there is not enough cooling in place so avoid doing it on shorter gears... on taller gearing like 4th -5th its safe to do... with light loading of your bike.
and driving harsh is bound to cause trouble in your vehicle... so be prep... so am I.
I am from B'lore. We've got one good stretch of road here . The New Airport Road.
It's built to meet international standards even though it doesn't quiet meet the international standards set by the autobahn :-) .
I have touched speeds of 115 on road with downward slope with RPM upto 9000 ,
touched 102-104 on upward slopes and up 110 on straights , even though it has to labour a lot to reach it :-) .
Note : I am using the synthetic imported oil offered by Yamaha which cost me around 600 bucks. You should try it , it significantly improves the performance and reduces noise too.
Cheers

Grrrr.
Yesterday i was hangin out at the adda and noticed that the Yamaha tuning fork logo at the back under the pillion seat was missing. My guess is that someone has nicked. It hope a replacement is easy to find and this I am gonna fix it with super glue."I set out running but I take my time, a friend of the devil is a friend of mine. I dunno why the yamaha logo's are vanishing ... I know for one that that the pulsar logo's carry a certain value when they are exchanged , didn't know such things existed for Yamaha as well ...Originally posted by yamahatrooper View PostYesterday i was hangin out at the adda and noticed that the Yamaha tuning fork logo at the back under the pillion seat was missing. I hope superglue does the trick. Gonna get a logo from SVC in a day or so and use Super glue and we're gonna have to find out how that holds out. I really hope this logo is not a hard to source part though.Originally posted by nand15 View PostI dunno why the yamaha logo's are vanishing ... they think its back light of FZ
, as it illuminates due to reflection .
and superglue really does the task very well,.
it worked for my friend's FZ,
we tried hard ti peel it off, but it was hard enough to do it..

my carb is stock, no tuning,
but i tried it on Pulser 200, and it worked really well..
that's right,Originally posted by Mindgrinder View Posti dunno abt mudguard number but every state have there own laws, all in all number should be visible to the traffic police.
most of the people has no. on front mudguard,
or on Fairing viser(on R 15 and Fazer)

yeah sure,Originally posted by ayushkant View PostHey Anjit,
I was unable to locate the fuel screw and idle screw on my machine. Can u plz guide me through this?

For RPM screw, refer page 2-1 of manual,
if you have problem locating it,
do a simple thing,
twist the Throttle( ignition off), you will notice a metal piece, attached with a cable, near carburettor is moving,
a screw, covered with spring is idle RPM screw,
-------
Fuel Screw,is one which is in golden color,at left down side,(EDIT- of carburetter )
remember,
its A Do It yourself thing,
but if not done properly, you will end up with a screwed carb,
so do it very slowly,
do it if your bike has done 4000+ kms (5000 kms,as yamaha Guyz says)
else it will reduce engine life by a big margin
