right Sir,Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostUsing slightly higher tyre pressure is good for mileage&pillion riding too, but you lose out on cornering abilities by a considerable margin as the contact patch decreases. I have been running my R15 with 30/35 psi front&rear respectively&it does give good mileage (43 in city), but I can see that the contact patch is not as much as those R15s' which run on 28/33.
even I found the same,
and IMO we don't need Great cornering capabilities @ our Everyday Use,
so if we can get good mileage at cost of loss in cornering,
i can only say..... Do it
so you got good Mileage,Originally posted by Sava View PostOT: I checked the mileage yesterday and it came out to be ~ 45.2. Includes a few kms by my friend who is the shittiest and the most rash rider I've ever seen.

Yaa, i went yesterday to MRF Pune. Engineer from MRF had a look. It may sound stupid what he told me -Originally posted by Anjit_Sharma View PostMy pleasure bro
it helped you is the good thing
humm so they are really quick
do share what you got as final settlement,
According to him, as per Yamaha request, the rubber used for FZ16 tyres is softer than usual hence a little more prone to punctures and once you are struck with repeated punctures on same place, it becomes difficult by the means of strip puncture repair (the fix that we usually do after tyre gets puncture) to repair it.
He said this is a Defect, but NOT a manufacturing defect.
He has anyways given me assurance that he will speak with his senior regarding this, but when asked wether tyre can be replaced, his reply was that chances are very less and if they do, that will be only for Goodwill. Haha. That will never happen i know.
So guys, my advice, do take this thing seriously, whenever possible, get the puncture fixed from a trusted shop.
I know this may sound funny, but Can i claim this problem on my insurance provider?
Is it possible? I do not want to spend 2700 Rs for a tyre change and that too when my bike is just 7 months old!
SAVE TIME....SEE IT MY WAY

Yes, tyres are covered under insurance. I have seen some R15 customers getting free replacements from the showrooms, the showroom/SVC guys took their details&sent a letter to the company after issuing the replacement.Originally posted by Anjit_Sharma View PostAFAIK Tyres are covered in insurence,

Fazer-Ownership
Hi Guys...finally got my black beast yesterday in the night...few pointers
1) The bike looks awesome. I guess it's one of the most well designed bike in few years hitting Indian roads (Plz don't think that I am biased for the bike being an owner..but I seriously feel so)
2) The problem of Twin Headlight..YES one light at a time..but trust me even single ones are really powerful..and those like me who are worried abt looks of bike with single illumination..guys..its like that you wont be able to feel that its only one light illuminating..earlier I was thinking for some mod..but I wont be going for it..because I don't want any kind of stress on battery..
3) The self start of bike is awesome at least I felt that within half press the bike is ready to start...and the start is soo smooth..tht U can feel the difference.
4) The Seating posture..guys..I really cant make out the difference until I take this bike for a long spin..I m getting a bike almost after 2.5 years..as earlier my passion plus got stolen...so I am like starting from ground zero without any preset notions..but still there is no bending while you sit..and I can feel that taking on long distance..this bike will prove its worth...
5) The Techometer..that is something for which ppl bashed YAmaha for FZ-16 bcoz of its toyish nature..but with in fazer it perfectly blends with the looks of the bike..and..you can feel the difference in the night..
6) Overall finish of the bike is Top-Notch..for this you need to check the bike itself...
Any suggestions from all my fellow experienced bikers..for maintenance..etc..as I am newbie in this regard
Clicked the bike in the night itself as I got its delivery in the night..mirrors are missing need to get it fixed asap..
