bro Exhaust is the main part,Originally posted by asim.mohd View PostHello,
I was thinking if any SVC or Yamaha is offering the option of a customer selecting components of the recently introduced performance kit to be installed.
I believe this way, one can still have a street legal fz (by not selecting the silencer).
Let me know if anyone knows of such an option being available.
Comments welcome.
Thanks.
as its a free Flow one, it effects on power increase,
without it you can't get "that" kind of performance..
and do you want to spend that BIG amount on just only a petal disc brake, cylinder and Exhaust hose,
i would rather Suggest you to contect Joel Sir, who is Best Bike Tuner I have ever Seen,
daytona developed it with collaboration of Yamaha EngineeringOriginally posted by nand15 View PostI don't think Yamaha has introduced these kits yet ... these are made by daytona , who do aftermarket parts for all bikes , so I doubt that Yamaha will officially launch it here ...
i think they are available now,(not Sure about Availability)

I enquired about this parts for FZ. It is not available for standard road conditions. It is ment for strict race track purpose. The Dayotona Exhaust is very noisey & loud. I think we can install the petal disk which looks cool though. I dont know about the other parts. It will be available from September i think. The stock bike is a good package but only problem though its hard to reach beyond 120 KPH because of sufficent air flow to the engine.Originally posted by asim.mohd View PostHello,

@vinoob : Yes buddy...i think i need to visit the SVC as ASAP...vibes are not common in FZ unlike other bikes...
@Braveheart : i checked the oil level...its near the max level...and yes now i am thinking that my bike will be like that only....
@Anjith : I heard about the rough patch but fact is that the vibes remain constant after 57kmph upto 92 kmph...it does not go beyond...throttle maxed out...as u say, will get the Engine Mounting Screws checked...
And bike does not respond well beyond 4k rpm as it used to below 4k rpm...the RPM increases without proprtionate increase in speed....

yaar i tried your gearshift trick didn't work we discussed that earlier, if what you said above is true! then why doesn't service ppl educate abt thisOriginally posted by Anjit_Sharma View Post@vinoob
bro carb should NOT be touched till either 5000 kms or 6 months,
it will reduce the engine life ,
as stock settings are set to flow Rich Mixture to New engine,
and if it don't get that mix, it result would be early worn out pistons..
i think ECU is one which is under the Seat,
,
@nand15
yep zigwheels told you have to sign a contract before getting the kit done, the also mentioned price i guess 65k for the complete kit including labour or something, so there is a possibility that yammy might not take bike/rider legal responsibility and you might need new insurance tooLast edited by Mindgrinder; 08-11-2009, 12:38 AM.

bro rich mix runs the engine cooler and till 5000 kms it helps keep the thermal shocks to minimal. thats why it is no advisable to drive harsh in that region.
after that if you tell the SVC guys that you want a mileage inc. they will on the first shot make the mix leaner (the HH style)... and the customer goes home happpy... no education necessary.Kingdom FAR FAR away is where I wanna be...
But I can't find a road headed that way.

Fazer's hood on our FZ??
Hi everyone,
Has anyone tried to find out if the new hood look of Fazer is compatible with our FZ or not?
I tried asking for this additional part on my FZ and the SVC guy said that it can be done and will cost around 7k...
Is anyone aware of this?

I don't know if they will do or not but what i know is it will require few welded joints to your chasis, and if you find someone to do that job then you would need the brackets that need to be welded, my suggestion here... don't make them locally (handmade is a strict no no to me) as they will spoil your chassis and wieght distribution and might not have the adequate strength.
but then if this risk is worthwile for you then ya it can be done.
And if you find the readymade addons to the chassis then no problem except for properly locating them... youhave to match it with a Fazer chassis.
all in all you might get a good looking fazer but don't expect that a good fit n finish at the places where mods meet the stocks (later on you might find an experienced mechanic).Last edited by Braveheart; 08-11-2009, 11:18 AM.Kingdom FAR FAR away is where I wanna be...

Big Trouble
Hello Guys,
I am up against a big trouble...
Few days back i posted on this thread regarding facing problems of multiple punctures in rear tyre.
The problem has worstened now.
MRF service station guys have told me that a tube cannot be placed inside the tyre since MRF doesnt have a tube of this configuration.
He advised me to go for a mushroom puncture repair and wait for result, else REPLACE TYRE.
Its so hard to believe that i am being forced to replace the tyre just 7 months of purchase of my bike.
I wish to speak with MRF customer relationship department, but dont know how to contact them. Can any one help me??SAVE TIME....SEE IT MY WAY

@avneetrekhi20 : I'm not sure MRF can do anything more , simple reason , punctures can happen on any tyre and it's not in their control to prevent it from happening ... since you've got repeated punctures on the same area it worsened the condition of the tyre and hence it'll be best for you to change it ... I don't see how contacting their customer service dept will help you ...just my 2 cents .People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

well even the MRF service centre engineer is not happy with the quality of tyre as it has only got nilon thread which is more prone to puncture. Already they have seen a case in which the tyre was to be replaced just 6 months after purchase of bike. and another tyre blowed up while in process of filling air after getting a Mushroom puncture done.Originally posted by nand15 View Post@avneetrekhi20 : I'm not sure MRF can do anything more , simple reason , punctures can happen on any tyre and it's not in their control to prevent it from happening ... since you've got repeated punctures on the same area it worsened the condition of the tyre and hence it'll be best for you to change it ...
