hmmm but it may also be because i generally cruise at 55-60 at 5th and also shift up early , to conserve fuelOriginally posted by N-o-v-i-c-e View PostYa man....u r lucky....i never got to see an average of 45

Same here guys....
I just measure my bike's average after second service both on full tank and on litre capacity....
i found out tht with the speed of 55 kmph you do get better average in the range of around 40... but if your normal speed or say average speed is above 60 then 35kmpl is the best you can get....
and tht's typical Yamaha ...

500 KMS Report
Hey Guys its 500 Kms on and its just getting better and better on my FZ-S.......
Average is around 40 kmpl on Xtra Premium Petrol (But I am getting higher on HP Power would report it soon)
Ride is a bit stiff but handling lets me forget it completely
0-60 is great.........Not went beyond 65 since first service is due
I personally liked the ground clearance as its pretty good for me bcoz my old bike was 10 mm lower than this...
there is that occasional starting problems aur missing that I know since I am following this thread would be sorted after first service and also the harder gear shifts
Rest I had some question folks
I noticed a small nail on the rear tyre of my bike and pulled it out immediately..do I have to get it checked or not bcoz the nail was very small one.......??
Regarding the Chain Lubing this week there was this horrible rains in delhi so I am yet to notice any rust on chain but as a precaution should I lube the chain weekly??
Thanks & Regards

Yes bro....you definitely gotta get that tyre checked coz it may be leakingOriginally posted by meet6230 View PostRest I had some question folks

air very slowly...and before you notice the puncture you may well have
damaged your alloys...
For chain lubing decide it for yourself...like if it rains heavily you may have
to lube it weekly or else you can do it after two weeks for mild rains...
keep checking it now and then....
cheers...

@Meet: After you took out the nail from the tyre, didn't the air leak off of it? Generally, when you do notice a puncture, do not try and take out the nail, blade, whatever has caused the puncture. It might lead to sudden air-loss, and you getting stuck in the middle of no-where!
What you can do is you can ride around with the nail inside the tyre and get it to a puncture repair shop (who work on tubeless tyres) and get it fixed, or better still, if you have the DIY (Do It Yourself) tubeless tyre puncture repair kit, you can fix it yourself, in a jiffy; just make sure you are near to some air-pump!:)

Hey get the tyre checked man , it could be leaking air slowly as Aryan sir says here , I think in heavy rains you better lube your chain weekly , I've suddenly noticed rust on it now so I am running around in search of a chain clean ...
About the harder shifts dude , the service didn't really help that just goes away with more km clocked on the bike , as they say even the gearbox has to be run in , else try adjusting your clutch freeplay ( didn't help me though ) ...
You got starting problems ???
I don't know many FZ owners having starting problems bro , maybe you need to check it out as well .
Stiff ride maybe because of the stock suspension setting , either get used to it
or ask SVC guys to set it at soft ...
PS: guys anybody know where to get chain clean in Bangy , guys on JC road say that they don't have stock .People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com
