oh thtzz cool stuff...can i get it from Paras Yamaha anna salai ,chennai.coz am planng to get my bike serviced next week.any how will chk with them.Originally posted by vvpl_11 View PostItz free of cost for all the current FZ owners dude
, And I suppose the new bikes will have it installed as well......
Oh, and it is completely removable incase you decide to show off your rear tyre again
It was raining quite heavily in Chennai last week, and yes the new mudflap did a much better job than the stock one.....
But just dont expect too much, FZ will still remain a FZ
sigpicIf you ride like there's no tomorrow, there won't be

Hey if you do feel it spoils the look of the bike, you can remove it any time dude
The major portion of the mudflap can be removed by just unscrewing few screws.....(Removing the portion above the rear light involves some extra work though
)
Its even simpler than the RTR 180's
So relax, YAMAHA has just provided an utility accessory, use it if you want to or just get the parts from the SVC and keep it at your home (Cause you might change your mind about it after a few months.....)

FZ's rear mudguard
Hey guys,
The Yamaha is providing free installation of mudguards for all FZ owners
. You just have to go to the showroom you bought your 'Lord of the Streets' from, and they'll install it for free.
But one point in this. The mudguards come in 2 pieces. I mean there's a horizontal mudguard just under the seat and one is below the tail light. The under seat guard can be taken out easily but the one below the tail light required screwing and drilling a hole to fit in that
. The Yamaha guy said it won't look good (the rear look with drills sign) if we take that guard out after the rainy season.
Anyways, I've got it installed here in my Pune showroom @ Wakdewadi free of cost and I don't plan to take it out also

Guys, was looking forward to some helpOriginally posted by avneetrekhi20 View PostHi Guys,
I am experiencing a strange problem with my FZ rear tyre.
It got puncture on 2-3 occasions but my problem is that after few initial punctures, now it seems that tyre gets puncture from the same place almost everytime. Due to which the hole has enlarged. Can you please suggest a remedy for the same? The puncture no longer is sticking to its place. I got it fixed yesterday and today it has come out half the way thru....
Plz help/advice
anyways, to add to this, i spoke to MRF guys, they told me that just in case the size of the hole has enlarged, we can insert a tube inside the tyre, patch the hole and use the tyre like a normal tube one...
i dn kno how the bike will behave after these changes
have any 1 of u encounter the same prob?SAVE TIME....SEE IT MY WAY

@avneetrekhi20 : I think you better go with what the MRF guys have said ... I don't see any handling problems that might come up ... the only disadvantage being you lose the advantage of tubeless tyres
(which don't seem to do you any good anyway) ... the problem here is that I haven't heard of such a problem in the FZ ..., the tyres do get punctured but nothing a tubeless puncture repair kit could not fix ..Last edited by nand15; 08-04-2009, 12:01 PM.People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com
