Fair job is an understatement bro ... It does really well in the wet , you have absolute confidence while using the brakes ... As it so happened to me while riding in pouring rain , had to hit the brakes while doing some 60 odd as a TVS star city guy had fallen and the bike stopped dead , rear end didn't even go out of line ...my reaction was like then ... ended up helpin the poor guy to his feet and carried on ...

hmmm no problem buddy , just glad the brakes help out in emergency situations and not give way ... like the star city and RTR guy ... the cage drivers actions are very common , a friend of mine actually had the misfortune of crashing into one such driver who opened the door on the traffic side ... stay safe bro ...

                      • Yesterday i happened to lay my hands on my friend's fz for the first time.Rode it for good 70km.The best thing about the fz is the confidence the rider gets due to the rear fat tyre.Amazing grip.Second would be the torque.Third i felt is the smoothness of the engine.

following question...I have heard all and sundry praising the FZ,s engine
                            smoothness...how its vibe free....

Q : The engine is very smooth until i reach the 4200 rpm mark in any gear...then onwards it is pure vibes as in you feel the vibes in footpegs and on the fuel tank..maybe little bit in the handle bar too....Is it okay or something wrong with my engine???
By vibes i also mean the engine roughness or whatever you call it..

I have done 2nd servicing and 3400 odd kms on the ODO. I can understand
the vibes in lower gears but in higher gears too???
Or am i expecting too much from a Yamaha???

The speeds above which the engine fells rough and viby...
                            1st gear - 12kmph
                            2nd gear - 26kmph
                            3rd gear - 37 kmph
                            4th gear - 48 kmph
                            5th gear - 57 kmph
All tha above speeds are at 4200 rpm in respective gears...
Above those speeds its PURE TORTURE riding the FZ....

The SVC guys say its normal...you get that kinda vibes in performance machines....but where the hell is the performance????
Dont know guys...but my heart feels that less mileage...less performance...more vibes....
All these things somehow do not add upto a FZ....

I would like to know what you guys mean when you say that FZ'z engine
is one of the smoothest(or smoothest) of the 150cc's...
I mean i dont wanna regret buying this beautiful masterpiece...

hey man , the FZ16 is a machine afterall , it's smooth alright but don't expect it to be in the range of the unicorn ... you push the bike in the lower gears you are bound to get vibes ... I have experienced vibes at speeds above a 100kph and that too pretty tolerable vibes , which you come to expect at the speed unlike my previous bike the p150 UG1 which used to give me a whole body massage above 80 kph ... if you progress through the gears smoothly then you shouldn't feel the vibes , under hard riding i believe it does occur although I haven't experienced it myself ... also buddy , don't push the bike to thw max it wants to go on each gear , that gives better power I know , but shift up early to avoid vibes , save fuel and probably get a lil more mileage ...

                              • Hello FZ riders.

Can anyone recommend me any shop where I can get affordable + decent quality carry bags for my FZ in North, East or Central Delhi or Karol Bagh? Any kind of carry bag will do as long as they can withstand a weight of like 5kgs. Pics of bags you have will also help

Another thing, I also want to know a Yamaha SVC around the specified area which provides good or even satisfactory customer service. Oswal Autos at GT road just sucks

Happens exactly the same with mine.

The simple solution is to change gears the moment you start feeling vibes.

I love the vibes when 57+ in 5th gear, though. They give me sense of supreme power

PS: I get a mileage of around 40-42. I usually ride in heavy morning and evening traffic and rarely go above 60.
