    Rest question time guys....
its 800 kms and I am yet to change the engine oil......should I do it now or let it to be done at first service which is due on 19th august....
and no one answered my previous query I am fueling the premium petrol in my bike first xtra premium and now power but my Dad says that I need to put in regular petrol too........so what should I do??

A lot of people have found that YAMS generally give better mileage at speeds of 50 to 55 ... and the mileage reduces as the speed increases ...
hi bro , thanks for the reply .apart from driving style any other thing that can increase the mileage

Anyway, I find lots of people feeling proud owning FZ, a class leader in Indian biking segment,
who knows,it might change like the cult in Royal Enfield Bullets, which people adore till date, since decades..
Yamaha should bring in more of its better foreign counterparts to us Indians.

You all people owning FZ shall i suggest us form a team and organise roadtrips, and tours like what Bullet fans do....
I am from Trichy, Tamilnadu, So people from TN can gather and go around the planet... (just a joke... really around Tamilnadu)
Will be back after fixing my crashed bike.. see ya.

hi it is really good idea for people of TN can form a group and go around the planet. i am game for this.

Naah man , there ain't no rear disc in the kit ... there is a whole thread dedicated to the yamaha performance kits in xbhp I think ... look that up , although we have a person who has got a rear disc setup for the fz ... but he is not a member here , so no idea about the actual details ...
People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

Hmmm , try shifting up quick , that saves fuel and hence might improve the average ... shifting at 4 or 4.5k RPM also helps ... these are basic things you may know already , but I couldn't think of anything else , coz mine is giving me about 42 - 43 with hard ripping (90+) that i'm doing now ...

yep right, the exhaust makes too much noise as permissible for 150cc bike in India, so not street legal, and yes you need to sign a contract before fitting those kits that yammy is not responsible and its your personal decision or something. but i really wonder if somebody actually stops you for that hehe

no dude , 95+ on the highways and a mileage of 26-27 is the best you could hope for in an FZ I think ... that apart , the Yamaha manual says that after 1000km , the bike can be ridden normally , but some of the mech's I spoke too said to keep it inside 85 upto a 1.5k km ... and not to push it or stress the engine like max throttle from the lower RPM's and through the gears and stuff like that ... I still haven't maxed the throttle but have hit 90kmph with a bit of throttle left

The FZ mileage increases after every service
I got a decent 43KMPL with usual cruising on 100 and all with my week with the FZ...
