ok.thanks touseef bhai,so this means water will take the heat away from only the external areas whereas the internal parts still remain hot.i just skipped this fact.

@ALL-have you people received any e-mail from xbhp saying about not to reply the personal message sent by anilkumar9? this chap sent me a personal message asking about a better engine oil for his zeus125 and xbhp sent me an e-mail saying not to reply him.what's in that??

i pour water on a engine so hot that can be readily used for cooking. i did this yesterday, water cooled my bike's engine.no difference is observed till now and one of the mechanics said that it was a idiotic "harkat". so why is this a bad practice?

        Hi,
Pouring water on engine won't cause any damage, only it will cool down the engine fast. Don't worry about the heat, engine is well capable handling that much heat unless you don't maintain it properly. Nothing will happen to the paint either.

Me too got his PM, did not reply though. I think he PM'd every xbhp member somehow by bypassing/hacking security. :what:

I too got and i replied to him and again he asked the same question. Now I doubt whether he is a hacker. But I didn't get any message from xBhp.

                      • Hi Guys,

Have been to Leh in 2009 and faced issues with the FZ16 as it wasnt able to pull the bile after about 10k MSL.
Noticed this after leaving Manali as I had no issues till then.
Had to get down and push the bike which was very painfull with all the luggage on board.
The engine was not responding to the throttle and was giving up.
With great difficulty we reached Keylong and a local Mechanic inserted a thin copper wire into the carburetors fuel jet.
He said that the air was getting thinner and the AFM was getting richer.
I didnt face much problem after that and complted the trip.
I checked out and was told that making the AFM lean using the screw on the carburetor only helps till certain RPM and not beyond that.
(Plear reffer : Jetting-Tuning-pjmotorsports ) as explained by one of our XBHP member.

After returning i went to the SVC and had the copper wire removed.

I am planning to get Leh'd again this year and dont want to face the same problem.
Can you guys let me know the Fule Jet size of the FZ carburetor ? As i would want to go for a smaller Jet size.
Or would like to know if there is a better fix to this issue.

                        Thnx

I don't remember clearly but I think main jet size is 112.5.
Getting jets won't be that easy, if the copper wire did the trick last time why not do it again?

Getting Leh'd again? Whoa man..:thumbup: all the best
