Since you have changed all the doubtful parts the only thing I can suggest is to go to svc and ask them to check the Air Fuel Ratio Screw on the carb once.

        The figures look good enough.

I would suggest you to go and get the piston rings checked. Incase they have worn out, there are chances of blowby and this will surely reduce your pick up and even the average.

If you can just ellaborate what exactly happens when you throttle and leave it.

Ever got the engine opened up in the past?
The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

I have encountered 6 puntures on the rear tyreof my 2 year (8000 km) old FZ 16. The condition of the tyre is pretty ok with all the treads intact. My riding is also within city limits with no rural kacha road riding. Still I faced so many flat tyres! I also checked for cracked /bent rim, but even the rim is totally ok.
is this normal with other FZs also?
My stock tyre's condition is such that it will last for another 8k kms at least & I dont want to change it right now. also I have found that upon changing the tyres the height of the bike increases a bit which I dont want.

          pls help!!

Piston rings would be fine. opening the engine head should be the last thing to do. untill and unless he has ripped the bike more or less to the limits everytime he rode piston rings would be good.

One "roadside" test for worn rings is to leave the bike to idle for a couple minutes, then give it a good rev while looking at what comes out the exhaust pipe.
If there's smoke then rings (or valves) are gone.

If you do get smoke then you can move onto getting a dry/wet compression test to find out what is worn.

If all else is fine.. the clutch is slipping.. at 28K thats a possibility.. 8K old filter without cleaning is also an issue.. get it cleaned and then target the clutch.

                • Today after finishing my work from office, once I reached the open parking lot, I saw my bike lygin on the right side. So some miscreant did the deed and then didn't bother to lift her up. The handle bar is bent and the leg guard is bent. This is the second time that I will have to get my handle bar replaced all because of idiots who can't keep hands in their pockets and would fiddle around with other's property. Anyways I will get both the handlebar and the leg guard replaced. It is such and unwanted and unecessary headache but I guess with no private parking near the vicinity of the office, I have no choice but toget used to such vandalism.

The most common issue I am facing are the front no. Plate being intentionally bent by someone every alternate day.
Just that it is really upsetting.. Man I am pissed!

                  Cheers,

Someone is intentionally picking on you.. It used to happen with me in Delhi. The bent rear plate was kept bent forever. Thankfully its an FZ.. I was just wondering what would happen to faired bikes.
No guard on the rolls I suppose.
The most ugly bike you keep.. the most untouched it remains. Forget keeping anything above 180 cc in these lots.

Mate , try using the main stand, help is avoiding the dropping of the bike, but at the same time, some guys might just use it as a place to sit , vandelism seems to be in the blood of the people. Nothing we can do to avoid that.

This will help only If Shiv18 can hear the alarm.
Secondly this can be a headache too, every now and then ringing if any body touches it. Mostly it is good in parking lots with watchman or in the office premise. There would be a person who will alert you on your bike's alarm, so you can go an off it.

Check for XENA Disc LOCK Alarm, any shock or motion will trigger it.

                          • Thanks for your support and suggestion guys. But the problem is it is an open parking lot for all. Xena will scream it heart out only to let the battery die in vain. I always park my bike keeping it on main stand but seems someone intentionally dropped her probably trying to make space for his own bike in the parking lot.

Luckily the parts are not that expensive so replacing them won't burn a hole in my pocket. But just that it is an unwanted annoyance that's all. I am getting more irritated with someone bending the front no. Plate all the time. No clue what fun they get out of it. Wish there was some mechanisim which would give a high charge of pulse electricity should anyone touched the no. Plate! But I guess I am wishing James Bond stuff . Anyways heading to my trusted workshop right now to get the parts replaced.

                              Let me fulfill your wish.

insert 2 ceramic washers or wooden washers in the bolts where they touch the holder. Buy an electric tazer gun, rip it apart keep the positive terminal on the number plate and detach the negative terminal.

Whenever somebody touches your number plate they will complete the circuit acting as ground to the positive charged number plate and behold you have spasming person on the ground.
