confused on the oil issue
I read some of the post's here about the oil that can be used. Each one had varried opinions. My FZ-S is about to complete 6k in a few days, so dats wen i'm expected to change the oil during the servicing.I'v used some castrol oil d last time, costing around 300rs, a semi-synthetic i guess... i it was semi-synthetic !!not so sure of the price though.A friend of mine suggested me a fully synthetic castrol power one as he's been using the same one in his cbz extreme and said his bike was going butter smooth.my daily running is around 30 kms,but i'm basically looking for firstly a super smooth, super silent engine, then comes the mileage and power.I'm confused after reading some posts here between the castrol power1,Motul 5100 10W40,some fully synthetic gulf and Valvoline oil. Please suggest, as I'm quiet new to selecting the oil thing !!! thanks in advance..

Observed a Strange issue with my bike yesterday, bike gets OFF at very slow speed around some 5 KMPH but it lasts for some fraction of seconds and again getting ON immediately (this makes me feel bumpy kind of pick up) - this happened frequently yesterday and main scenario is this happens when Clutch is not engaged.
Sometimes it also switch - off completely, even with Clutch Engaged.HH Splendor (Sold)

I was also on the lookout for a replacement tyre for the FZ. FZ stock tire is radial tubeless. Chances of punctures due to stones is extremely high in Ladakh ride so searched everywhere for a replacement tyre. Rishabh, being a FZ owner also pitched in but no one had it in stock. Ultimately found one Eurogrip tyre which would fit the stock rim but since it was larger in size, I had to remove rear tyre hugger. - VISHWAS
Relevant link to his blog where you can see the images of rear tyre..
Looks good IMO & those threads would work great on sand as compared to stock tyres.
I Hope this helps you
Hi Sorry couldn't post earlier.... i had a word with Trustvishwas long time back regarding the same query...
You can look into the following offroading tyre call TVS Pancer : 120/80 - 17 TVS Tyres - Motorcycle > 120/80-17 PANCER
However, you will have to remove the rear tyre hugger as mentioned in trustvishwas's thread otherwise the tyr would constantly keep on coming in contact with the hugger damaging the tyre in the long run..
hope this helps
