1-This Video might be helpful for valve clearance.
2-Bearings are the small metal circular balls that are responsible for the super free movement of steering, tires.so they check it by just the movement and if necessary they replace it with new one.
3-In clutch functioning they just check for the smooth gear shifts and setting it accordingly!! In many cases people need to change their clutch plates.
4-Fuel hose is the white thing near the fuel cock which filters the petrol and all that black tube that allows the flow of petrol.
5-Throttle cable and clutch lubrication is directly done to their cables which are situated near the fuel knob.
6-Don't know much how they check steering looseness.
7-Wheel run out is checked through wheel thread and all that stuffs that are done for tire wear out check.

Hope this becomes helpful CHEERS !!

          • Dirt Bike Wheel

Hello everyone. I am new and this is my first post. I got FZ16 2 months ago and now it is on 1060km. This is my first ride. So far so good. Just wondering whether anyone tried to change the stock tire to dirt bike tire or is it even possible? The reason is I live near the sea (next to it) and the stock tire did not go well on the sand. I have seen some dirt bikes well crossed on the sand. So I was wondering whether possible to change the stock tire with dirt bike tire. Kindly advice from all angles including the look. Thank you all in advance.

              • My bike has done 26k now and the rear tyre has completely gone bald. I would be selling this bike in a months time as I'm getting my new CBR.
But before selling it off, I want to put a new tyre and then give.
Can someone suggest a good place (in Bangalore) where I can get new tyres (MRF revz)? And what would be the approx price for the tyre?
I heard getting it directly from showroom is costly.

                  • Starting Trouble

                    Hi,

My bike is brand new & I'm facing starting trouble. Generally I put the fuel valve on off when I reach home if I know I'm not going to to ride any time soon than in the morning. That is after 6-7 hrs. But in the morning the bike won't start even if I give full choke while using the ignition switch. I have a kick, but that also won't help. Finally I have to give little throttle to start then release it & reduce the choke gradually.
Today I didn't go to office, so started the bike after 16 hrs. Same problem. When I gave little throttle it started but I saw very little smoke coming from exhaust. It's not cold in Pune now. I'm not experiencing any misfire or knocking.
                    Wondering what's wrong?

                    aB
                    Regards,
                    Abhijit

                      • Softer FZ-S firing..

I have an FZ-S on which i'v done about 5500 kms. I decided to do the servicing on the amount of running done and not on the number of days since purchased. So I've done with the 2nd servicing with 500 more left for the third one.My bike sounded very smooth for quite some time... at-least till around 4000kms, but now it has started roaring a bit which i dnt want, i want it to be like it was b4, or more like a CBZ extreme firing. I showed it at d showroom n they said it was ok, and said that they would lube the chain. I'm not quite sure if it would help.I'v been taking my bike at around 80 quite frequently now... is it because of that ??? please help... its my 1st bike n i dunno much about it !

see rohit, as the engine will get older the sound note will change..... and i dont think there is a solution for that... running the bike at 80 continuously will change the engine parts like the piston and the chamber accordingly which will change the note of the sound....

Dude first of all check the Idle RPM that might be the culprit. If that doesn't solve the problem then you might need to change the spark plug or get it's gap checked.
