Here, in the service centre where I visit, washing the bike is free of cost during free services.

Yamaha Shop Dealer (from Where I bought my Yamaha FZS )was hesitating and doing work like Kaamchor I just ask them to extent my warranty 2 years which was Rs.999, I missed Rs777 due to my Exams and Work.... They were not ready to listen and giving excuses that we cant give Extended warranty as I dont have booklet. I run around a week , After that my friend told me not go anymore ,just Email Your complain to head office and you will see How your work will be Done with some CHAI NASTA..
And after Putting a Email.. I cant just Believe they called me personal and said " SAAR PLEASE COME TO OUR SHOP TILL TOMORROW AND YOUR EXTENDED WARRANTY WILL BE IN YOUR HAND" I was Like..what

Just wanted to share my Incident. Any problem occurs in near future I know what to do...!!!

Do's: Enjoy the ride, good handling, etc, a nice change from the pulsar.

            Don't: Break the speedometer Kidding.

You can check the price at the yamaha service centre. It's best to get it replaced from there too. But I'm sure someone here knows the price if you still want to know before hand. Also, there might be people who have modded their FZs and removed the "digital console" I've seen such bikes. Maybe they are willing to sell they're speedometer.

Technically the bike's warranty covers the engine and internals only. Electricals aren't covered.
                In short, no.

No. FREE SERVICE is just namesake free. Nothing is free.

Recently I did a 200 km ride after which I am noticing a couple of problems....

                        1. Whenever after revving the engine, I lower the throttle, I hear a strange sound at the exhaust.....something like "vroo vroo". some mild bursting like sound.

                        2. whenever the bike hits a sudden pothole, I hear a 'khat khat' sound, coming from somewhere near the rear suspension. my bike is only 1073 kms old & I have followed all the rules of break in & still following those.

1st servicing is done at 220 kms with oil change, oil filter change & other jobs.

In 1st service, they would charge 300 bucks for engine oil, 35 bucks for engine oil filter and 150 bucks for chain cleaning & lubrication. so roughly carry 500 bucks!!
