nothng to worry......its common in bikes.....happens due to cooling of catalytic converter...... This will fade when away after the bike has cooled down completly

But, be prepared to loose some points in the looks department of your steed . Also, just for information, I now have received all the documents of my steed, along with the high security number plates
That's what I hate the most and I am never gonna hang a doormat kinda thing near the engine.I would rather extend the front mudguard to avoid the mud from splashing around.

Found this in the andheri east showroom. The things thats weird is that it still sports the old FZ logo but the rear is the new one.

^^ looks like a custom built bike. I can see a different exhaust on it.

^ It's an old version with yamaha accessories like oil cap, crank case plug. Look at the grab rails. Color looks ugly, if you are so much fascinated with Ninja, then get a Ninja! Why somebody put it as a display, look at the damaged turn signals in the front.

I am not a very knowledgeable person about this, but saw some guys with white LED's as parking lamp for there FZ and Karizma ZMR. What kind of LED's are those? If you have any idea about those, please help, and thanks for your suggestions will not go for the OEM LEDs.
                    Hi Koushik,
Whether OEMs or not, LED will cause trouble if not build correctly, especially in rains. Check lighting thread for more details.
Also Yamaha's OEM LED tail light comes with 6 white LEDs which illuminates the number plate perfectly, I have not seen that in the aftermarket part, so if you'r building one, then build accordingly.
There is one guy in Mumbai who is selling the LED tail lamp shown below:

Guys, have noticed that, when my bike is on a straight road and if uphill is there, the bike will not go beyond a particular speed. Infact, it starts loosing speed even if i try throttling it.

Any views os suggestion for this?

Yeah, shift down and move on, should see you through without much difficulty. Where you single or with a pillion.

Honestly, it's time the fz gets an upgrade, with a pillion and a slight incline , it's almost no fun to ride, kinda boring..!!!

A sheep in wolves clothing I would have to say..!! Just if it had a more powerful mill.

Before anyone comes to cut off my head, I happen to own a FZ with almost 10k clicks done, and am pretty un-satisfied with its performance..!! I'm sure many here would agree to that..!!

As you might have seen in the specification like max torque or power at 75** rpm.. This means that the this is the point where the opening of the throttle valve is at its optimum position..
after this point, if the valve is opened more, there would be back-pressure from the fuel-air mixture which would in turn resut in loss in available power..
I think this is some what the reason..

Hey Guys few more questions and doubts coming from a rookie for you professionals .
                                1) Today My bike ( Fazer ) was winking at me with the low fuel indicator light ( making it fun to read , please don't mind ) . I had filled approx. 8.8 - 9 litres of petrol . before .. Rode for 285 km's before the winking scene happened . What i noticed was , When i put the fuel supply switch to off and back to on . the winking stopped and she stared at me with 2 bars of fuel . After that happening for some 5-10 kms she again got to her old habit of winking . So I went to fill petrol and my mom allowed me to fill petrol worth 500 /- . which read as 6.93 litres on the Petrol screen .
Now the funny scene .. After filling the petrol . I came back home , in my building .. curiously opened my fuel tank to see how much of it was actually 7 litres quantity wise in the tank .. What I saw surprised me .. After filling 7 litres worth of petrol .. the petrol in the tank was nearly filled to the brim . 12 L tank ... 7 litre filling to the brim ? so the bike must have had atleast 3-4 litres in it already right ? So
                                A) Why does it start winking at 3-4 L ... ? I am new to bikes and please don't laugh at me for this.

                                2) The RVM's look nice , but don't serve the purpose for me . the Left one I got adjusted for me . But the right one doesn't adjust at all ... So for the RVM's do I get them done at the Workshop ? or from a local mechanic , The bike is due for the first service in 3 days .

                                3) while using the front break . even under the helmet which is pretty tight around my ears .. i hear a squeaky sound ...while breaking - (Front) .

I am a new rider but still i wish to clear this . no matter how stupid i look .. The Bike redlines at 10 k RPM . but around 4- 4.5 which is my break-in RPMs ( from manual ) i feel the engine is trying to hard .. hard to describe it .. its like its red lining at 4-4.5 k RPM ? like its reving a lot ? uff :|

Last but not the least . will the service centre guys entertain my doubts ?
Thanks a lot for reading this .
