Bhaai log, can anyone tell me - at what max. speed, FZ can cruise all day long. I find it troublesome beyond 85 kmph for even half an hour. My experience tells 70-80 would do fine i.e. you'll feel comfortable. Please give me your experiences.

Ok i own a Fazer and from my experience, I usually cruise between 70-90 during my tours and the bike goes fine. Trust me the fairing does help a lot. Above 90 is when it starts getting a bit tough to handle for a long time. So for you, I guess 70-80 should be the ideal cruising speed. Hope it helps. Ride safe..!!

80-85kph can be easily done without any issue, if there are no crosswinds. Above 85kph, the bike struggles.

          Cheerz!!
The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

Headlight can be replaced, Head cannot be. Wear a helmet.

Fz can do 80-85 km/h easily and sometimes 80-90km/h..
I did continuous 85+ for some 35-40 kms on highway few months back and that too with a pillion. Didn't had any problem.. That day that cross winds were somewhat scared of me

I can cruise on fazer at 90 km/hr comfortably. but you have to shift into fifth gear at around 75km/hr.
Also for cruising use of 15T front sprocket is recommended numerous times on this very thread.

Bro, I feel 'pushing the limits' around 72 kmph in 4th and that compels me to shift - any specific setting that you would wanna recommend?
I know the 15T front sprocket but that will be a trade-off during traffic rides which is what I do most days in a week.

This is for fz long timers, has anybody faced rust issues in the fuel tank? What preventive measures are to be taken? I never run on reserve and generally top-up when 1/3rd tank is full. My Fazer is almost 2 years old.

My fz is 3.5 years old & haven't faced rust issues till now but now that you've put this forward I would like to know more. Can you please specify the exact spots, whether it is inside or outside - few shots will be really helpful for everyone here & how is it related to reserve?

                        Hi folks,

My rear tyre was filled up with slime when I bought it(11 months back). At that time I heard if any pins enter in the contact patch of that tyre, I can simply pull it out & it will be ready to go. Now I had one screw nailed in my rear tyre; I simply pulled it out, but to my surprise, air started leaking as soon as I pulled the screw out, hence I reinserted it. Could you please let me know why is it happening with slime present inside & how should I repair it?

I have seen rust on the opening, just below the fuel cap. Havent seen thoroughly inside the tank. The tank being metallic, rusting is bound to happen. Havent come across any rust preventive option for the same.

Simply put the puncture made by the screw is too big for slime to effectively cover. Slime would work when the hole in the tyre is small enough for the slime solution to fill up and plug it.
Its like you using atta dough to cover the mouth of a pepsi bottle. You can effectively close the mouth of the bottle. But try the same thing with a drinking glass. Not so easy right. The analogy applies to your tire as well.
                            Hope that makes sense

                            Cheers!!

There are puncture repair kits available for tubeless tires.
They have rubber pieces which plug the holes.
