It is a pretty straight forward job, once you remove it, you will be able to see the inside mechanics...and it is pretty darn simple.

Its jammed there is one screw at the bottom and after that removing that, it won't open. Its like jammed on the handle bar.
Will leave it for now and if problem gives me more problem, will change the part. *pissed*

There must be another screw, the switch panel is held by 2 or 3 screws iirc, if any of the screw is jammed, spray some wd40 and leave it fro a few minutes and then try , it should open up.
Still if you are skeptical, get the svc guys to do it and observe what they are doing and it should be fine.

            Problem after problem
The red light (service light) starts glowing as soon as I start the engine. Went to svc just now and the mech told me its something to deal with 'de-compress'(don't know what he meant and didn't listened to me when I asked him about more detail), but as it was late they told me to come tomorrow morning.
Now I don't that what is the reason.
            Will visit svc tomorrow morning.

EDIT: No light now. Rode for a few.kms and no red light came. :/

Is there any difference in FZ16's & Fazer's handlebars? I got to read somewhere that the fazer's is little higher than fz's.
These days I'm getting back pain while riding. I tried changing my posture but it didn't help much. Will it help changing the handlerbar? Frankly I don't want to do it as it will spoil the looks.
Does the riding jacket with the back support padding help reducing back pain?

Your posture is important. If you slouch and sit, then you are bound to have back pain. Try sitting in upright position.

I have tried sitting upright also.. i have tried seating close to tank, away from tank.. dosen't help much. Is it that my suspension is stiff?

Try changing the suspension setting. Also, try riding another bike and see if you have back pain while riding it or not.

No bro for all FZ,Fazer series the handle bars are same it is only the front faring making the look different. My Friend used my old handle bar for his Fazer due to no stock at SVC there is no difference in ride posture as far as i noticed if needed adjust your suspension to first step it may help u lot it gives max comfort to rider

                          * Check the battery terminals connection and make sure that the battery is giving correct output.
                          * Make sure that the TPS sensor warning blinks are not shown by the engine warning lamp. If i remember correctly it is one blink and then after a brief gap 3 blinks one after the other.

Will get the battery output checked.

The light was continuously on, not blinking. But today morning it wasn't. So didn't went to svc.

Haven't been riding much for the many months now.

My suspicions are with either the battery or with the battery terminals being dirty or covered with sulphur. Make sure you buy a mini pack of vaseline petroleum jelly. If the battery is in good health and the terminals were the culprit, after cleaning it properly, apply the petroleum jelly on it. It will act like a barrier and will prevent corrosion and sulphur deposition from building up there.

If the battery is completely gone and you are still on stock AMCO/MINDA, get rid of them and get hold of AMCO 5 amps Maintenance Free battery. Since, lead acid batteries are recyclable, you can negotiate a good price with an AMCO dealer. AMCO MF battery costs around 1200-1300 bucks, you should be able to buy one for around 1k or less based on your negotiating skills.

                              Cheers,

I had changed the battery last month. Changed with Exide MF battery (searched really hard for Amaron MF but no one had that in stock)
Will clean the terminals and cover with petroleum jelly.

EDIT: Checked the terminals and they are very clean. Not dirt or sulphur buildup..
