hey i going in for the sprocket mod 14T to 15T
will be getting the pulsar 150/180's 15T sprocket
i have a few doubts :

1. Will i have to shift the rear wheel left or right a bit in case of the pulsars sprocket (the chain drive line will be straight even after the change?)
2.what all things will i need other than the pulsars sprocket
i mean the size of the spaners etc
3.will this have any effect on the change my chain slack is correct now so after changing the front sprocket will be get for tight (overtight) do i need to adjust the chain again after the mod (i suppose the 15t sprocket is bigger in size?)
4.Any tips that you would like to give me have be running on the 15T for quite long now

1. Chain will be straight only, position is exactly the same.Originally posted by Sunjay Kumar View Post@ Diville_56

2. You need to remove rear tyre to make chain loose enough to remove the front sprocket. So you need spanners to remove them. Other than that 8 mm spanner (preferably rings or socket).
3. Anyway you have to adjust the slack again since the chain is loosened. You can maintain the same factory recommended slack.
4. 15T is worth if you are a highway cruiser. In-city use may need more down shifts. Before it used to knock at 27kmph on 14T, now it knocks at 30kmph on 5th gear. I ride in so called splendor mode, so not much difference for me
If you are running on stock tyres then there shouldn't be much hassle. I am running on taller tyre (140/70), now acceleration is very much affected, either one is recommended, either taller tyre or 15T. Now double effect

i only told him what was available on GP road.Originally posted by kinshuk.arya View Postyou have got it all wrong about the projectors.....
there are two types of projectors....
1. single beam type (ONLY LOW BEAM)
2. dual beam type (LOW/HIGH BEAM)
and the drainage of the abttery depends on the illumination source you are using for the projector. if it is a 55W HID in it it will most probably drain out the battery. but installing a 35W HID or a 55W halogen wont have any\negligent effect on the battery of the FZ.
angel eyes is just an accessory and not necessarily comes with every projector.
for more info on projectors and HID you can visit a thread named basics of projectors.

it may or may not increase the mileage but your initial acceleration will be affected..
If you want better mileage than start controlling your bike with acceleration rather than break.. you mileage will improveBilal Ahmed

hey guys... new fz 700kms...
sometimes wen i shift down .. it feels as tho there isnt any gear.. just an empty space.. no click...
is this normal/?
also .. ive been riding it a bit rough lately.. will it have long term affects? its just too much fun to resist.. and wat remedial measures can i take?
also the gear shifting feels a bit rougher than normal...

has the bike been to its first service??? Its advisable to change engine oil atleast twice in the first 1000kms. drain the old oil and fill in new mineral oil. that should make a world of difference. And, restrict your ripping to a few times a week. Let it warm up properly before you rip it. by ripping it, i mean first 0-60-0 then 0-80-0 then 0-100-0 once a week. dont do it all the time.Originally posted by aditya.jishnu View Posthey guys... new fz 700kms...

Guys, need suggestions for a better rear tyre than the stock ones..
Last night it got punctured and not because it ran over some sharp object, but just the regular loose gravel from road .. and due to the rains, the loose gravel and pebbles have got multiplied there is no way one can escape them..
The rear tyre has a small pebble stuck in it.. I haven't removed it yet.. I'am not sure if this tyre can be repaired at all.. even if it would be repaired, I feel it wouldnt last for long. So, I might as well just replace it with a better one..
Which one should I go for..? which make which model? it would be great if you can share your personal experience with it.. also, where can I get it in Navi Mumbai area and for how much ?
