        • making FZ suitable for pillion-is it possible??

Hi, can any modifications to the FZ16 seat be made so that it is more suited for pillion? Has anyone done it/ saw a bike with modified seat?

sorry to break into the discussion..

          • I have few questions:

My rear tyre creates a hollow sound when riding over uneven roads, is that normal?

Horn is very poor, what type of horn you have installed in your bike to solve this?

For those who are using HID in their FZ, are you facing any battery drain issue till date?

Lastly FZ & Fazer has the same 5 amp battery right? (I have seen one guy who installed two HID's in his Fazer and both work at the same time, and till date no issue)

            Thanks

a couple of people on xbhp had gone for seat mods, one of them included the stepup mod done in pune......
as long as you can keep the bike's rpm over 3k rpm two hids wont be a problem...

                  Hi,
I added an extra layer of cushion over the original seat and then had it all covered with new rexin cover. Not much of difference though.

                    Hi,
I'm using Roots Windtone Super for the past one year. No probs till date. The stock Minda horn gives a sweek only. Nobody would hear it in all the din of city traffic.
There aren't probs with using two HIDs as long as the battery gets recharged adequately. Must try to maintain engine RPM above 3000 while HIDs are switched on.
In case you are planning to use HIDs, please ensure to use them with quality projectors. Never use HIDs without Projectors in standard halogen headlight assembly.

I guess the front visor costs around 250 bucks..
Kick start kit costs around 2000 the svc guyz may charge some fee for fitting.. (but it will spoil the look, i wouldnt suggest that)

                        • a few days ago i got a puncture in the rear tyre & thus have to unplug the rear set for repair, & after it was done the set was re-fitted but after that a "fiss-fiss-fiss" sound is coming from the rear portion of the bike whenever I ride over any bumps or on mostly bad, holed roads(which i mostly had to do due to road conditions), can't figure out that is it from the rear mono-suspension (WHICH IS I AM SUSPECTING as it is happening also when I am pressing the suspension when my bike is idle) or from the rear tyre due to some leakage (as I found that the tyre pressure has gone down from 33 to 28 psi in 3 days out of which I didn't rode at the 2nd day at all.

Will HID hurt the reflectors ?
