No its not because of that...I placed a cloth under the seat...and it was blocking some opening..i dunno what is it..But now another thing has happened....I became oversmart and applied my limited knowledge of mechanical engg and now my spark plug wire is detached from spark plug. Can anyone advice me do i have to drag my bike to service centre (some 20km away) or wire can be detached from bike...

Can you please be more specific what you have done?

Have you just the pulled the wire from the spark plug or did something else

          .
i think you blocked the slim rectangular opening under the seat..it takes air to the air filter for the engine to breathe..NEVER BLOCK THIS OPENING...
..is your spark plug wire got cut or just got removed from the spark plug??..if its just removed, tightly cover it back over the spark plug..

if 15W50 is good for cold conditions to keep your engine warm..in hot conditions, will 15W50 make the engine hotter(over heat)?..

In that case they will go by the date. Take the bike for servicing on the due date instead of going by the mileage.

No. just use the company recommended oil of rating 20W40. I think you can go with valvoline champ 4t which is a good oil and has the recommended rating of 20W40. Also 15W50 might decrease the power output of ur bike slightly due to it's high viscosity.

                      anyway i have a Q guys,
around 200 kms before my 2nd service my gears started getting rough,it was hard to shift down to 2nd and 3rd,i dint mention this for the 2nd service since i thought it was because my oil needed a change, but yest even after filling semi synthetic i have the gear prob, does the oil take time to start working or something?or shud i check the gear issue with them?

                      thank you

did you get that motox helmet? my advice is to avoid it!

                        @ Ranjith,

Dont go for semi synthetic on 2nd service. If u want to put synthetic, do it after 6th service.

Bcoz, Have given my bike for 5th service and told them to change to semi-synthetic. But after changing to semi, engine really heats up. Today i given again my bike to change to normal yamaha lube.

                          Hi Ranjith,

I think we almost gave our bikes at the same time for the 2nd service. Even I had the same problem prior to 2nd service , the gears had got hard and I never got a neutral in the first attempt. But after the service its really really smooth and I can easily shift through all gears including neutral. I did a regular servicing no custom oil requests etc...

Ya , even I do the same thing. Gave the bike for servicing at 2985 kms and way before the 90th day.

The manual said 3000kms OR 90 days.

                              Hi,

There is a mandatory Air Filter Change for 9000km service. Do get it done. The SVC guys won't remember. And it only costs around 230/- I'm not sure of oil filter/brake fluid change but you can ask that from them.
