bro you need to ask yourself a set of these questions:

      1) has your bike given you any trouble with cranking up the engine to start?

      2) how much would be a cost replacing the old battery to a new one should the battery die?? = 700-1200 bucks and that too after 2.5 - 3.5 years provided the battery has been topped up at regular intervals (unless you've bought an maintenance free batt)and the terminals kept clean and greased to avoid carbon & sulphur deposition. worst case scenario the only probable thing that may fail would be the relay which only costs around 80 bucks to replace.

      3) in comparison, what is cost of installing a kick starter to your bike?= 2800-3000 bucks.

so the question you should ask yourself is.. is it really worth spending so much unless you have faced an issue with your bike?

in my opinion pricing wise= not worth it.

      Cheers.

                        • Rear tyre having serious issues

Guys i seem to be havin a serious problem with my MRF stock rear tyre. There are about 4 to 5 punctures that have accumulated over the past 2 n half years, the earliest being 1 month ago. . Last week i report an air leakage to the SVC Pacer Yamaha n it was diagnosed that air was leaking from all the punctures n they had to be redone. Also 1 hole had become bigger n it needed 2 punctures. Spent over 400 bucks getting it all put. About an hour ago the double puncture opened up again n now im back to square 1.. Called the SVC guys n they say i got no option other than buying a new tyre.. The thing is the grip is still really good n i dont wanna change it nor do i have the moolah to do so. .
Im totally frustrated n wanna report this to MRF n try n get a replacement.. Can some1 help me with how i can contact MRF in Bangalore???? PLZ HELP!!!

I feel you bro ... I am in the very same situation ... air leaking from 2 spots which have been patched ... SVC mech said that he can fix it but it would happen again and so he said fill up once a week and ride till it's time to change ... , this is something the SVC can't help with as the problem lies with the tyre being a soft compound .

P.S : Guys once again the sprocket holder bolt has come loose , luckily i felt like some nut had fallen off the bike , i brought it back home to check and the bolt was hanging loose ... It's been hardly 200km since i fixed it , last time it actually fell off and i had to buy a new sprocket as none of them were willing to sell the clamp alone ... including the darn SVC ... so is there anything i can do to seal this straight ...
