+1 , I paid 1.1K for it ... The LED's are 2.8k a set ...

I paid 2.8K for the LED indicators for my R15-very useful in touring.
That is right-if one goes also all need to be replaced.
I narrowly escaped losing one after the bike was tipped over in my building. The cover plastic is also different from the regular ones, so even if you lose that, all gone. In my case only the lower part of the plastic cover had a few chip offs, so I taped it up. It has stayed since the last 3 years that way, touchwood.

Guys,just gave my bike for it's 5th service and the quote is 2.1k
I just crossed the 10000 mark on the odo so they are changing quite a few things..here is the list:
Air filter - 295
Tappet adjustment - 495
Rear shock greasing - 350
Fork greasing - 450
Chain lube - 180
I don't know why they call it free service when they are charging for practically everything
They wanted to change the spark plug for 105 but I want to put iridium ones so I told them not to change.
Is the NGK Iridium lX for FZ same as that of Shine..can I fit it without any problems?

Did you really need to changed the air filter at 10k?

And 'free service' means no labour charges

Am doing the Bigbore kit on the bike..Gave the bike today afternoon will collect it on Sat will let u know on Monday

Which SVC ? ... Air filter is 230Rs ... and tell them to change it at 12K kms .
Tappet adjustment was 350 Rs , dunno about fork greasing ... chain lubing is normal 180Rs

And yes the iridium plugs is same as the shine ...

Thanks for the info man..it looks like I am getting ripped off..the SVC is Pacer Motors in Shivajinagar,I guess they are overcharging me..I doubt they will even grease the forks and rear shocks like they say they will and are asking me 800 bucks for it Also I got the tappets adjusted just 2 services ago and again they say tappets noise is observed..It's really sad that Yamaha provides this kind of service..where do you get your bike serviced?

I've been wid Pacer for a lil while now n there's not been a time wen my bill's come below a grand , except for a few times wen i got some cheap parts replaced....!!!

wow ! now i see the problem ... You sure are getting ripped off , I get my bike serviced from there too ... But the thing is , I know exactly what needs to be done on my bike and specifically sit on their heads to get that done ... These guys follow a standard procedure . any bike that comes in , chain clean n lube , tappet adjust , wheel truing ... they don't check if you need it or not , YOU have to tell them ...

Buddy if its not too much of trouble.. will u be able to put some pics of the LED indiacators..

I thought I would post a summary update here as well, (have already posted in Riding gears)

I have bought part of gear (reqd for SS1K next weekend! and of-course general riding ) yesterday, and will buy the rest today.
I have been riding with the gear since yesterday.
More updates on that in detail, later.

Update on Gear:

Yesterday I visited Orion Motors and Helmet Paradise for gear purchase.
Gear picked:

1. Riding Jacket DSG Nero - 5500 INR
2. Balaclava (Alpinestars) - 300 INR
3. Gloves DSG Revive - 2200 INR (I came back and checked, the cost on DSG site is 1990 INR - the shop should get a revisit from me today! )
4. Replaced (clear) visor (Helmet- Vega Boolean) - 160 INR

Accessory bought:

1. Tank Pad (Carbon fibre-Keiti) - 900 INR

Still to buy:

1. Knee guards
2. Saddlebags
3. Accessories and spares:

WD40+OKS Chain Lube
Acc/Clutch cables
Spark plug
Puncture repair kit
Foot pump (with gauge preferably)

Can anyone in Bangalore help me with a single store for accessories/spares - (preferably near Marathahalli)
