My butt was aching so badly for the next two days. I added an extra layer of cushion to the seat. Not much of a difference though.

Same with me... I guess the cushion of the stock seat hardens with time... So what cushion did you use? Is it the net seat cover from Yamaha original accessories? How much did it cost?

The cool mesh seat cover yrom yamaha costs 1200
but i have seen different seat covers on bikes at SVC which makes like the bike looks like having split seats

well I wouldn't say 75 is FAT ... I'm about 73 odd ... but the Friggin cop was past 90 I'm sure as his belly preceded him everywhere and we all know the general state of our cops ... he was huge .

The surprising thing here is I had no sore butt problems throughout the entire 800kms ... Because we took breaks at every 60 - 100 kms .
People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

        • on fz the butt starts to ache after around 120-140kms at a stretch.... again that depends on how much you ride....

on my first ride i had to take a butt break after just 50 km. now i can go on for at least 130km without feeling a thing....

FZ's rider seat is good IMO.Its as good as any other bike-i have done upto 550km in a day and never found it worse than other bikes. Its only the pillion that gives a pain in the ass.

            well I wouldn't say 75 is FAT ... I'm about 73 odd ...
75kgs of fat vs 75 kgs of lean mass.huge diff :P

True , the rider's seat is alright ... I prefer it to the P220's , thats kinda hard .

I concur on the second statement too ... 6ft 73kg (me) is fine in comparison to a 5ft something 90+kg polar bear of a cop .

              • stalling problem solved

as usual the expected problem was the lower rpm
but not as expected was the fact that the SV guys dint tune it enough to solve the problem when i took it to the service centre
but with help of other Xbhpians i did it myself and got the bike to the dream she was when we started out..

                Thanks guys!!
Our bikes can go from 0 - Stupid in less than "I wonder if this will be a good idea"

                  Good

My bike was in rain and yesterday in noticed that when shifting from part to headlamp
everything goes off even the console light , park and headlight Called SVC they told that the contact of the switch is the culprit due to rains they asked me to bring it by to clean it
but i noticed if i give a small hit on the switchgear everything comes to life
Is there anything i can do my self

get a bottle of wd 40 and pour it in the switchgear assembly.... it will clean the insides just like new....

Ride on the hills with a pillion and see the response ... Although I do believe that the big bore could make a difference ... it's ideal for the highway , that is for sure ... not so for the hills
