I wish to install 60w bulb in place of my stock bulbs on my fazer. My query is if I go install angel eyes along with the 60w bulb will it all have adequate effect on my battery? Please advice

What were the problems you were facing?

        1. Front Disc is creating sound like some metal come contact with Disc Brake. Oil Checked it's normal.
        2. Front Wheel not rotate free when I put my bike in center stand and rotate the wheel , it doesn't even rotate half.
        3. Feeling slightly Higher Pick Up in the bike when I give little bit throttle. earlier pick up was normal.
        1. Dust particles needs to be cleaned.
        2. Dont worry about wheel rotation that much.. may be the pads or dust is providing more friction to the wheel, cleaning the disc would solve the problem. Pads would automatically rub off to match the disc in due course of time.
        3. Is this a problem? That's good for the bike! Engine opens up after a few thousand kms.. increase in acceleration, mileage and smoothness is observed. Decrease in engine heat build up is also seen.

Guys, what might be the indications of damaged cone-set ?
I can hear noise from the front end whenever i go over pot-holes, jumps and its like 'tak-tak' and is clearly audible even through the helmet. I can even hear it at stand-still when i press the handle downward

And one more query.. The braking distance has increased a lot on the bike. The front brake has lost its bite and feels like very very spongy what might be the reason ?
Do i need to change the brake fluid or something ?

              Hi Guys,

Got the bike serviced at replaced below items:

              Front Disc Master Cylinder Assembly
              Chain sprocket set
              Rear brake shoes
              Clutch cable
              Accelerator cable
              SS engine oil
              Oil filter.
              Disk brake Fluid.
              Fork Inner tube
              Fork oil seals

After changes the bike felt like a whole new one. But the front disks bite is gone, I have to take it back to SVC within couple of days before the GOA trip this friday.

My question is that does dunlop tuffgrip affect the bike sprocket and front end , I have this doubt because the mechanic told the front fork inner tube and chain sprocket gone kaput due to the higher profile tyre and it affects the mileage as well. Should I go back to the stock one , its been only 6k on this tyre will I get an deal from any tyre vendors or mrf dealer to get a new stock tyre?

If you can post a pic of the bill, it would be helpful.

And regarding the 'bite', let the new pads settle in with more kms, it will come back.

Is it "tak-tak" or squeaky sound? Try tightening the cone set, the noise should go away. If it stays, its time you change it.

The sponginess of front brake maybe because of air trap in the brake line. Try bleeding the brake. It will help.

                  Cheerz!!

The new pads will settle after running few kms. If it doesn't, there might be air trap in the brake line. What was the reason for you to change the master cylinder??

Higher profile tyres do impact mileage. Regarding the chain sprocket and front tube going kaput, maybe the mechanice is right. Since the higher profile tyre being heavier than stock ones, they might affect them (just a thought).

The stock ones are good. I am comfortable using them (personal view).

                  Cheerz!!

na. not squeaky sound, but clear tak tak type.
not getting time to visit a mech, will try to do so this week and also bleed the brakes.

I cannot imagine how putting a higher profile tyre can damage forks.

I'm using Dunlop tuff grip 140/70 which is a taller tyre than the stock. Not only tall, it's curvy.. meaning it has less area of contact than the stock which in theory should aid the mileage, not reduce it.

noticed one more thing the new chain almost had no lube in it. Should I lube it tomo or wait for few kms also the engine is getting hotter than usual ,could it be the lean mixture tune . I didnt mention it personally , I wanted the ride to be in good shape before the goa trip. Should I change it back to the optimum mixture. Not sure which type of tunning is good for long rides and some uphills. Please suggest me so I can get the bike to optimum performance before fridays trip

The new chain is actually company lubed. Touch the links and you will see for yourself. If it isn't then lube it.
Actually, you should have done all these changes a couple of weeks prior to the trip. Anyways, get the mix correct if you feel its lean.
Try to ride more in the next few days, so if any small niggles crop up, they could be rectified.

Bro, if u have the Dunlop tuff grip tyre at the rear and have changed the chain sprocket recently, then i would advise you to keep the chain setting a bit loose ie either on the 3rd or the 4th marking from the start. The reason being that the engine would heat up a lot more due to this bigger tyre and with the chain set on the first marking. I did this myself and now the engine does not heat up like before.

Secondly, i find the Dunlop tyre to be good enough, especially with the grip. Havent faced any issues as such till now and quite satisfied with it after riding almost 7k kms. I too was told by the service centre guy to change and stick to the stock tyre. But then, i dun have the time and patience to deal with punctures.

Lastly coming to the average, even with the Dunlop on, i get the same 40-42 kmpl.

                              Hope it helps. Ride safe.
