well i would advice you go for the FFE first and the bigbore after (in case ur looking at).. the FFE will enable the engine to rev freely without the stock restrictions. increase in fuel eff is said to be there. i'm not sure if any of them have posted a review on the FFE for fz.Originally posted by vijeth v View Post

I have the option of going either for the FFE or the bigbore. My other concern with the FFE is that its a cop magnetOriginally posted by Duoscribe View Postwell i would advice you go for the FFE first and the bigbore after (in case ur looking at).. the FFE will enable the engine to rev freely without the stock restrictions. increase in fuel eff is said to be there. i'm not sure if any of them have posted a review on the FFE for fz.
.
Now I guess I will go for the FFE itself, considering the fact that I can do further upgrades only next year.REVVADDICT

Even I reverted to 14T setup yesterday. My bike felt sluggish and didn't even reach 110 KMPH on highways with the 15T setup whereas on stock it used to touch that speeds easily.Originally posted by nand15 View PostHey Guys ... Just back from a 800 Km round trip to ooty ... The best ride of my life so far ... Bike just performed like a charm !
, but again the sprocket holder nut came off on the ghat section which was a bit frightening , but other than that ... FANTASTIC RIDE !!!!!
EDIT : 15T Setup not advisable on the twisties if riding with pillion ...
Ghat section and with a pillion was a strict no for 15T setup. Everytime I used to downshift to pull properly. This was not the case with 14T stock. So reverted to 14T stock setup and when I opened the throttle after the changes there was a big smile on my face
.
I am loving the stock 14T setup now.

15T is fine if you are okay with the sluggish pickup in every gear. I didn't like it at all and it a strict NO if you are planning to ride in hills. The stock works like a charm and pull effortlessly in any gear.Originally posted by Sunjay Kumar View PostYou guys now don't tempt me to revert to 14T

With the stock setup it reaches 60 in no time. I am lovin itOriginally posted by deville_56 View PostI'm too back to 14T

I pity what the poor thing would have to go through, especially on those twisties. Treat her to good oil next serviceOriginally posted by nand15 View PostJust as I was getting out of ooty limits , cop waves me down to stop ...

Hi,
I managed to bring my FZ from my hometown Trichur, Kerala to Chennai and in the process, the clutch handle has broken free and am unable to shift gears. (Just don't trust bike transport by multi-axle bus . Those >

)...
Managed to ride the bike in second gear and transport it to my flat. Now have to go in search of repair shops to replace the clutch handle.
Is is required to replace the full clutch wire or just the handle would be enough?
Also can I do it from any local mechanic?Reduce 1 km/hr speed, add 1second 2 ur life.

just the handle will do. btw you can force shift your gears in case of emergencies without the use of clutch... just roll of the throttle and shift...Originally posted by vinchel View PostHi,
