Higher profile tyre = smaller rear sprocket

So high profile tyre + larger srocket should cancel out each others' effect. Not perfectly but close enough.

it's 250rs . I think anirudhfz1 has mentioned it in a post where he has changed the sprocket of FZ to that of R15 .

          • i am seeing lot of plp wanting to change to r15 setup,
initial pickup has increased a lot as the engine revs a lot higher,
milege has also reduced by 5kmpl ,if ride in the highways it will be a lot more,
but i am very happy abt this setup.
u can even go for 100 section pulsar tyres to >pickup

Last thing i wanna do is drop the meaty softcompound stock tyres and go for crappy hard compound pulsar tyres. One thing fz16 is known for is the handling. Now, why would i wanna take that away?

Good to hear that the pick-up has increased. Hows the top speed? I can do 122kmph on my fz16 w/Gpower plug and Motul v300 oil. But is the milage drop that much? Can you post a pic of your tyre change if possible?

Great. Thanks alot. Will try that, do we have to buy the front sprocket also? And can we add more notches to the chain right?

It cost me about 6k plus. I donno the rates now. Guess its higher, and the wait is longer (cos of so many requests). But to tell you. its worth it. My bike is the first one from the Grz customs. And the fastest to come out!
Full of nice guys in GRz.

There's no need for a different front sprocket.

As for the chain, I think nothing needs to be done to it either since no one on this forum has reported having to lengthen it after changing to a R15 sprocket.

ok bro. bigger sprocket needs a bigger chain obviously right?
                            thanks for the heads up.
