There doesn't seem to be any damage per-say as told by the mech but I had gone for a trip recently wherein I pushed the vehicle a bit. Run-in happened a long time ago (since this is the sixth service) and its a problem noticed only after the fifth service. That oil was changed 3 months prior to today, during the fifth service, as claimed by the SVC. I hope the buggers did it. Mech has mentioned engine oil replace on the job card. Will go to the SVC to pick up my bike today. Anything I should confirm/check?Originally posted by Sunjay Kumar View PostYa there are chances of oil burning if the scrapper and compression rings are damaged due to very harsh driving and improper run in
but oil burning due to engine overheating how old was that oil
has the problem solved by the SVCAlways assume the other guy will mess up - Ride Defensively!

just drive and check if the smoothness has come back

Assuming the mech at the SVC changed the oil at the fifth service, the kms would not be more than 2K. I'll check the ride. Hope things are cool as this is the last free serviceOriginally posted by Sunjay Kumar View Posti mean how many kms is the old oil

riding my 5 month old bike is being a pain for me..
the bike tends to stall when it comes to stops or idle!!
it even stalled twice when moving and was really scary!
the only saving thing is it does restart the very sec the self starter is used!
the oil was changed as per schedule and rpm was adjusted few weeks back.
did have morning starting issues, the bike starts at first crank and if switched off,it takes atleast 6-7 cranks to get engine alive!!Our bikes can go from 0 - Stupid in less than "I wonder if this will be a good idea"

just check your idling rpm and then set it to 1200-1500rpm. this will solve your stalling issue.Originally posted by ariendj View Postriding my 5 month old bike is being a pain for me..

Do you guys wear gloves during normal city rides to office/malls/theater etc? I usually don't want to carry a bag with me, and I hook up my helmet to the helmet holder provided by the bike but can't fit the gloves under the seat. So wondering what you guys do or do you avoid the hassle altogether?

Service centers
Hi,
Going for my 5th 'free' service. Can anyone tell me a good service center in Pune. Not so good experiences with previous 3.
Also 700 for a free service sounds a bit exoribitant doesn't it

start the bike raise it a bit then pull the choke on in the rpm increases and then pull the choke the rpm should decrease if yes then your choke is working properly a stuck choke cable and result in the problems you facing now else check the idling rpm to 1500 but correct the idle rpm only when the engine i warmOriginally posted by ariendj View Postriding my 5 month old bike is being a pain for me..

hello guys. I own a fazer kick model. I am interested in custom painting the bike myself. But the tools required I do not have. I want to know where I can get the air brush, air gun(HVLP) and a compressor with tank.
Please suggest me about the equipment and a place where i can acquire the same.BreaklessBiker

Changing the Air filter....
I read somewhere in this thread.....
Are Simota filters available for the FZ16. If so ...how do I go about getting them on my FZ16.
Now that I'm settled here....wanna upgrade. Call me stupid..but this is me list.
1) Angel eyes (Those ProVrodz looked good)
2) Get the Simota and rejet if needed.
3) Finally if everything permits, get this awesome dude called Joel to up
my bike
If anyone has gotten any of the above done plz let me know ....

Regarding Simota and other goodies for power up kits the best person to answer this would be Joel himself... two members have gone ahead and done the 180cc big bore upgrade one their bikes Duoscribe and Sydney C. But they have not witness the gain at the top end mostly because of the restrictive stock exhaust. Both members may provide detail info on request i guess
i believe Simota air filter is yet to be released by Joel for FZs. If you indeed want to go for power upgrades, i suggest start with FF Exhaust. Me, RanjithMN and AbhijitKN are yet to receive the FFE. So will post results only after i receive it.
regarding Angel Eyes and other visual mods other members will help you for sure.
Cheers

I was using an Angel Eyes till the cop's caught me because it was too bright so i removed it...I have the Big Bore kit and my bike is running on a K&N Filter the day i finished my 3rd service..performance and power is excellent on the bike that's what i feel..Am waiting for the boys to install the FF Exhaust and see the difference on the bikes..Then i will do remaining upgrades on the bike...If you are planning to get the upgrades done on your bike Joel is the right person to contact..Originally posted by Naveen Vajja View PostI read somewhere in this thread.....
