  • Hi All,

been really busy with work and haven't got a chance even to reach home.. projects are getting hectic and then deadlines even worse.. even as i write i am doing all this from office... anyways besides my sad life... i also spoke to Joel regardin the delivery of my FFE....here is a good news for those all who have placed an order for FFE or other power up kits from Joel he has responded to my delivery date queries below:

    Hi,
The delay is being fixed with this ramzan finishing off. Labour problem has been my biggest hiccup. All the units will be dispatched by end of this week or early next week. Please pass the msg to others too.

    Joel

So RanjithMN, AbhijitKN and anyone else whoever else have placed their orders may check with him regarding the delivery dates.

So hopefully post my crazy schedules are over i should be able to write a healthy report for you guys about me souped up bike .

Anyways, i am happy to report that, yesterday my bike was right outside getting thrashed by insane torrential rains throughout the day and night and day (i left from work today morning at 6:00 am and was back to office by 10:30 am ..) i was really worried that now my petrol tank must have had a massive built up of rain water.. and it won't start for sure... however, to my surprise, she did at one click and without hesitation purred to life... The whole of Khar and Bandra was inundated with waterlogging for kms at a stretch, but she did took me through everything... so all i can say is KUDOS to Yamaha for making such a brilliant bike... i am one lucky customer..

    Cheers

i guess your engine has finally opened up properly.. you should also notice a change in the sound of the exhaust probably more throaty roar.. as the miles start climbing up... keep her happy with regular servicing at proper service intervals, she would never give you any trouble whatsoever and would be happy to hit near red line and would even manage to stay there for long hours....

      • Is chain clean & lubing mandatory in every free bike servicing? I don't want to do this because in previous servicing it is done very badly. No cleaning of chain only some lube. Also with a price charge of 150Rs(50% increase from prev). Needed to do on my own.

not necessary.... they just do it to make some extra bucks...

IMO it is better to do it yourself...

              • Fazer 150cc not starting !!

                Hello guys

I hadnt taken out my Fazer 150 for almost 2 months and now today when I tried to start it ,it did crank once or twice in the beginning and then simply it didnt crank .I think some problem with battery as when I switched on the headlights they were really dim.

Please suggest what to do to bring my Fazer back to life .
Its been raining a lot ,though I had a cover on my bike ,some water still has got in .

2 months of rest and the bike not starting :-(
Wish it had kick start !!

Thankfully the best thing was I was not planning to go out with the bike ,I just wanted to see whether everything was OK or not ,otherwise it would have been even bigger disappointment.

seems to be a battery drain due to no periodic charging.
remove the battery and get it charged from any local battery shop and re-install it..

Does the battery get drained if the bike is not used for an extended period?

I have ridden my bike just for 1700 kilometres !! Do I need to charge within such a short span?

                      did u change the battery
if you want to drive then put the bike in 2nd gear
push the bike with clutch engaged and when the bike is moving just release the clutch
                      it will come to life

                            Hi,
If you have done chain lubrication few days before the service then no issue. But make sure they don't wash (but before servicing it is good to wash the bike).
It's better to lube it after every wash. If you don't want them to do it, then do it by yourself it is very easy. Check the DIY thread for more.
                            Regards,
                            Abhijit
