Just the visor and its bracket are about 400, I think. Direct fit to FZ without any modifications.Originally posted by nand15 View Posti don't want the full conversion , i've seen bikes here that have only the visor , i need only the visor n brackets , don't want the number plate brackets either . need one for a friend as well ...

I have a LE FZ & evrytime I go to service senter, the guys over there ask me to tak proper care of the pannels since according to them there are no replacements available for the same.Originally posted by vinchel View PostThe tank pads would be available but the svc would have to obtain them from main offices. The side panels can be changed for around Rs.800. You then need to spray paint the centre panel or do a white painting job yourself.
5k would be too costly.

can you send me by pm the contact number and contact person of the dealer where i can get one. if they have an email or website then its better. will order from overseas. thanksOriginally posted by iamvik View PostI had enquired at the dealership. The full conversion to FZS includes the visor, its brackets, the number plate brackets, the "forehead" of the headlamp and the "cheeks" of the headlamp. The total cost comes up to 1.5k. Not worth it, IMO.2009: yamaha ybr-125g, yamaha fz-16, pulsar 200 black, pulsar 200red
2010: pulsar 220 red, ninja 250r
2011: ninja 650r

I suggest you leave ur fz as it is. U might have noticed that bikes like the fz 1000 and fz-6 and our own fz 16 show their real look in the naked headlamp and no visor. the small display further pronounces the shape of the head lamp. The visor is not bad but I didn't like the look.
In my area, I have seen a lot of fz-s s without their visors. Anyway, in Trichur, the conversion costs Rs.420 overall.Reduce 1 km/hr speed, add 1second 2 ur life.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes if you want to place the number plate you need to buy the bracket mentioned above(i needed it so got the whole thing). And yes,if you want you can fix it at home provided that you have the tools to do it. Ironically when i went to fix the visor there more than 3 or 5 guys with their FZ-S who wanted to remove their visors. The visor bracket is fixed under the speedo. You have to screw it in there. Check this pic of my FZ with the visor (never mind the creature on the handlebar
)

Correctly said bro.. Thats why I never had, nor i will have any thoughts of installing the visor on my baby FZ16..Originally posted by vinchel View PostI suggest you leave ur fz as it is. PS: If you have seen FZ8, U would agree that it does look gud with its visor like fitting.Last edited by mitz; 02-22-2010, 11:53 AM.

Hey buddy,Originally posted by meet6230 View Post@ayushkant
Hey Can you just let me know what changes I can expect in Mileage and Performance of Bike if I switch to NGK-Iridium on my FZ S??
@all FZ S Owners
Also is there any way to improve the stock head light to something better and brighter??
Thanks,
Dilmeet
With NGK-IX, Mileage will certainly increase (to what extent, I can't specify). My real aim was to have an improved performance.
What I can quote is-I had a speed test with P220 (+ pillion), CBZ (+ pillion) and my FZ (single rider only) long back ago from Lonavala to Pune. With my stock condition, I was just able to match up with their speeds, mostly lagging behind in terms of power when others were cruising past 110+.
Quite recently, after the plug change, I had an opportunity to check in again with the speed test from Lonavala to Pune. The bikes were P150 (+pillion), CBZ (+ pillion), FZ-S (single rider), and my FZ-16 (single rider). To tell you frankly, my bike was cruising much better with showy power now. I was never left behind and I ended up winning by much difference in timings.

So to my testing, the bike is certainly more powerful now for performance than the stock one.
As far as light is concerned, I've changed mine stock one with a direct fit of Osram NB which is 55W bulb. It certainly gives you more eyes in the night. Even some bikers have changed to Philips and say that's good too.
