    the thing is...i was always happy with its power.but after my 3rd service it does feel weaker thought im not sure,because SVC said they wont tune is unless i tell them!

    and a full tank + 4.25 liters of petrol is giving me 500km only...im on the last blinking bar!

      changed oil and spark plug today. gotta see the difference. Bought Motul 3000 and NGK G-Power. Bike will be in for 3rd service in another 500 km. Didn't TD after fitting. Gotta see if there is any difference.

      Yamalube blackened even before 2.5k km against their claimed 3k km.

        dude!!!! full tank = 12lits +4.25 lits=16 lits....500kms lets say at the max 50kms more...thats like 550/16 = 34kmpl which would suggest one of two things...u are ripping it hard and dont give a rats ass bout the mileage...or u r bike is tuned to a rich mixture and is burning a load of fuel...

          Hey on the last blinking bar i do get around 60km plus another 5 before it finally hits reserve . haven't found any drop in accel or pickup , been the same .

            actually i dont care abt the mileage.but thts not the pt.
            even when my bike felt good i use to get around 35kmpl,i was happy with it,but now it feels slow and yet the mileage is same,i expected the mileage to inc...anyway ill hit reserve and check.

            any other factors tht can make the bike feel weak?i did downgrade to mineral frm semi synth,can tht be the reason?

            and how much does it rev in the 3rd and 4th gear?i cant red line now.

              I recon FZ comes fitted with NGK normal one spark plug. You should have upgraded to NGK-Iridium. I'm using it since one month now and the performance diff. is very good. It does give a boost to your bike...

                dont know about the oil...have still not used semi or fully synthetic...but that i believe cant make the bike feel weak...harsh maybe but not weak...(ppl correct me if i am wrong)

                secondly i dont normally rev the bike much in 3rd and 4th gear but reach 70+ on the 3rd and 90 odd on the 4th when i really rev it...maybe the bike is need of a service?? wen was the last time u got it serviced?? also maybe that the plug has got carbon ... a little cleanin the part of contact will maybe help...

                  Guys is there any prob. in using Diesel for cleaning the chain?
                  SVC guy told me not to use Diesel to clean chain coz as its a O-Ring type it has some rubber stuff packed in which will blah blah... i don't actually understand that what he said... i am using diesel to clean the chain and SAE 90 Gear Oil to lube it...

                  Is there any probs?

                    Iridium plugs were not out yet for FZ as per the customer care of NGK and dealer here. So didn't wanna take risk and I was actually searching Motul oil and ended up at the NGK dealer here .

                    G-Power is platinum-tipped ones and are better than stock one [refinementwise, not performacewise]. Normally it took 2-3 cranks for me to start after the bike lying idle for 8 hours in open parking at office full cold nyt. Today it started for single crank. They claim mileage increase, which is yet to be tested.

                    Next upgrade will be to Iridium for sure. Waiting for free services to be over. ASC will screw up the plugs.

                      Me too using diesel for cleaning and diesel engine oil+2t mix for lubing as recommended by one Honda mech. Pulsar guys have been doing this on their O-rings too.

                              I too was hearing the chain squeak when moving the bike around (to park etc..). I took it to the SVC and found out that the front sprocket was a bit rusty. The mechanic opened the sprocket cover and poured some oil over it. Works like a charm now.

                              So, you might try that out and oil the chain as well and see if that solves the problem. If not, take her to the SVC.

                                I am a bit confused. the official ngk site does not list an IRIDIUM IX for the fz 16..... i am not sure we should be using the IX on fz 16.
