Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Adjust the clutch lever play and shifts will be better. If you are on Yamalube, the shifts will be notchy.Originally posted by Hulk078 View Post

I think white led is better for main light and green one for angel light (or whatever the small light at bottom in fzs called).Originally posted by Subhradeep View PostI am also using LED as pilot lamp, the light output is better & consumes lesser wattage also. Ask for SMD LEDs. And you will get in various colours.

Hard gear shifts are attriubted to Cluth cable about to bust or degraded oil or clutch play. the most common is degraded oil. When was the last time oil was changed in your bike and what oil was that?Originally posted by Hulk078 View PostHi guys,
i feel hard to shift gear while running in low rpm. How to know if clutch plate has to be changed?
To know if the clutch has gone bad or not take the bike to an empty road preferablly upwards sloping put in gear and try to give full accelerator if the rpm meter starts climbing but the speed does not move accordingly then the clutch plates need replacement. Cost of replacement of clutch plates is around 1200-1300rs if I am not wrong.Timon: Orange Yamaha FZ16 2009

Yamaha Fazer 153cc Version 1 Stock Headlight Replacement and Bosch Symphony Fitment!!
Dear Friends/Seniors/Juniors,
I have an intention to install White HID Bulbs (not Projector setup) in my Fazer for both lower and upper application. But, I am confused what to install, local mechanic telling go to Wellingtone, Kolkata for cheaper options, but have no warranty. I am keen to install Philips ones because they are reliable and long lasting. Can anybody help me what to install and where? Also want Bosch Symphony Horn in my bike. Can anybody tell how they are fitted with Motorcycle small batteries. Thanks in advance.Regards

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
I don't know the exact reason, but it happened to my bike also. Maybe the roads are built with slight angle to run off rain water. I am not sure.Originally posted by snehith View PostGuys today I've observed that the right side of the rear tyre is more worn than the left side and even the bike pulls towards the right side when I accelerate or brake hard.what may be the reason?
Change the tyre before monsoon or the bike will wobble a lot on wet roads.
Ride safe and have fun.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Hi
It happened with my Bike too.
Reason was correctly pointed out by nadz11.ns but however it might also be due to the improper alignment of the tyres because my previous tyre had them and my current ones dont. The roads are the same where im riding here in Kolkata.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Nope. You just have to get used to that less feedbackOriginally posted by devils_friend View PostIs there any way to keep the bite of the front brake in same way after it has been bled? My front brake looses it's bite very fast.
the bite doesn't come close to like on a new bike.
Maybe the brake line is the culprit.
Ride safe and have fun.

The lever has to be pressed almost half way for the brake to come into action :banghead:Originally posted by nadz11.ns View PostNope. You just have to get used to that less feedback

Has anybody tried fitting Pulsar 220's brake line on FZ?The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
There were couple of members in R15v2 ownership thread who had installed them and have shared their positive review on them.Originally posted by devils_friend View PostThe lever has to be pressed almost half way for the brake to come into action :banghead:

I wanted to get them installed, but never really got through.
If the hose is same, we can surely use P220's line.
Ride safe and have fun.
