My front and rear brakes have begun squeaking a little, ever so slightly. Nowhere near as bad as some other poorly maintained bikes out there but still. What is to be done about this?
About a week ago I took the bike to the SVC and was told that the front brake fluid was at normal level, even though to my eyes it looked like it was slightly below.

oh man i'm really mad right now !!! !@#$% ... just got my bike from service today ... i went from "
" to "
" before u could say FZ ... why ? because my front disk brake has become totally un-responsive
, the bike keeps moving at about 20kmph wen the lever is pressed with appreciable pressure ...
couldn't take it back as I was the last person to take delivery today and they shut shop soon after
... Is there anything I can do to fix it ... any ideas on what the problem could be ... ?
oh and yeah they messed my rim stripes as well ...

Oil on the brake disc and on the pads. Try wiping with petrol to remove the oil. Wipe the brake pads too. If that doesn't work, clean the pads with emery cloth to remove the surface material contaminated with oil. If that too doesn't work, change the brake pads.Originally posted by nand15 View Postoh man i'm really mad right now !!! !@#$% ... just got my bike from service today ... i went from "

This is assuming that the lever movement is normal and not spongy or rubbery. If that's the case, then the brake needs to be bled to remove air in the line.Originally posted by iamvik View PostOil on the brake disc and on the pads. Try wiping with petrol to remove the oil. Things that I liked:
1. Bike feels and looks huge.
2. Easy to ride in the traffic, though one has to careful with the rear-view mirror. As its mounted on the fairing, you have take care while moving through the traffic. There is provision to fix it on the handle, did not do it as this looks better
.
3. Shifting gear is kinda ok, not great. It's very easy to find the neutral when you stop at signals.
4. Comfortable sitting posture.
5. Great brakes.
6. You have total control over the bike, it does nothing unexpected.
Things that I did not like:
1. Pillion space could have been better.
2. The downside of finding neutral easily is that when shifting from 1 to 2, sometime you end up in neutral, very annoying.
3. Bike takes unusually long time to warm up, compared to my old bike.
4. Gears are short, not good for touring.
Things that could be improved:
1. 2-3 PS of added power would be great.
2. Crash guard as standard fitment.
3. A little thought for the pillion rider.
Problems that I am facing:

You don't need to remove the brake pads to bleed the brakes.Originally posted by nand15 View PostOne more question , can anybody tell me how to get the front brake pads out ?
But if you do want to remove them, first remove the front wheel. Then, locate two spring clips on the caliper the go through the brake pad retaining pin. Remove these pins with a screw driver and pliers. They should come out easily. Press the pin out from the side and remove completely. The pads can then be removed by just pulling them out. Follow the reverse order to refit the pads.
When the brake pads are removed, be sure to put some flat piece of metal, such as a flat spanner, in place of the brake pads. This will serve to restrain the pistons from completely popping out of the caliper if the brake lever is depressed.
