    well looks are subjective , but if u ask me , personally i don't find the need for it ... if it does serve a purpose for you , then that's good ... one question , how is the pillion comfort after installing the box ?

    As to why 150cc bikes fall under sports category ... well , it's only very recently that the ' real ' sport bikes are making their foray into India , so till they arrive we make do with what we have ...

    • I have yet to check it out. I made sure the guy bolted it as far back as possible without touching the indicator. I have to say it is a concern, especially since these bikes are uncomfortable for pillion even without the bag.

      That said, I almost never have a pillion so...

      • First of all FZ/Fazer aint a sports bike! :P R15 is!
        anyway..if you need to carry a lot of stuffs,then why bother what ppl say?at least yours looks like a pakka tourer bike now!

        • my FZ reached 21000 kms and now some problems are facing. while accelerate in idle, rpm goes down automatically. after a few seconds, it will raise again to same position. When i asked regional service manager, he told that valve clearance need to adjust. And again i asked service centre manager, he told that de-carbonize will help...
          So my question is if i de-carbonize, in future is there any problems going to face?? going to give for service on next Tuesday and next Saturday going tri-state g2g!!!

          Experts, kindly pour ur suggestions, pls...

          • get the valve clearance set only first. de-carbonizing can wait. a fluctuating idle, is primarily due to excessive gap in the valve clearance, or a clogged carburettor.

              @samarth:There's another 150cc "sports bike" for you brother ... and yeah i agree with ranjith here , if u need it and it serves the purpose why bother with what others have to say ...

                Your problems appears to be a dirty carburettor or a leaking inlet manifold. Clean for the first, tighten the clips or replace if damaged for the second.

                Personally, I don't think you need to decarbonise at 21 000 km. If required, have the valve clearances adjusted. Removing the head for decarbonising is, in my opinion, unnecessary.

                    I think you should put a dicky on the other side too....
                    That would complete the tourer look....

                      Its been 1 year nd 2 months and 18000 kms few days back of my FZ-S nd now m facing some problems with it...
                      well the problem is kinda strange..
                      my bike have problem in starting when it is parked for 5-30 min...
                      but if u start it after 30 min. it starts widout any prob..
                      also if u start before 5 min. thn also no problem..
                      and the problem is not with the battery as the bike starts properly with the starter but the idle rpm which has to come, doesnt comes..
                      nd the engines sound comes but the rpm is not sufficient to start the engine..
                      but if i give long starter to the bike for 2-3 times it starts.. though at every starter the rpm sound comes from engine but it is not enough to start the bike...PLSS HELP MEE...
                      the problem started a month back jus few days before the service at 15k...
                      i told the svc to see to this prob. but they were to no good...
                      they didnt even had a clue.. i consulted some local mechs too.. but again no solution..
                      so guys plllssss help mee..

                        I faced the same problem! Ask the svc guys to clean the carb thoroughly. Also check the spark plug and clean it.

                          u mean the SAME prob.. ie 5 min.-30 min.
                          wud the cleaning have an adverse effet????

                            I am due for my 4th service, want to check whether can i go with the same engine which the yamaha guys use or is there any other one which is better then that.

                            • you can go with either the 185 rs mineral oil, or the 418 rs semi synth, no worries. the semi synth will last longer though.
