my fazer is my 1 st bike
its backfiring
fuel gauge is spoilt
colour is peeling off and bike is rusting even though i cover it every dam day
back light dosent turn off and other small problems \

My bike won't get any free replacements. Its for the earlier batches. got confirmed by dealer and YMI

what issue? are you sure that is not mud or something else sticking to it? clean it properly and check again.

Looks like layers of the thick paint are peeling off..

nah a good chunk of paint has come off that portion..got to get it checked....wondering if anyone has had this issue?

i did that and they have stopped replyin to my messages
i even tried callin back the number they called me from and they dont pick up nemore
( first they used to )
my service is due in 3 days and he wont do anything hell jus keep sayin tht this stuff happpens to all bikes and all crap . . .. .

my bike backfires i told them they said its normal
my backlight remains on as soon as i switch on the bike
my paint is peeling of and its rusting even though i have taken utmost care and cover it always as well as park it under a small roof
my leg break keeps geting loose and dosent work properly
my both side mirrors keep geting loose and move with the wind
my feul indicatos is always wrong
( my headlights also developed black spots which i managed 2 get changed after three months and going there 6 - 7 times)
even the sides of the handle bars have lost their colour
gear shifting is quite hard and sometime dosent shift when i start the bike and put in 1 st
i even feel the shock absobers are not as good as they used 2 be
front tire looses air pressure damn quickly it became 16 in a month and 20 22 respectively ( i checked for a punture) but this might be due to the bad roads

i dont mind facing problems but the fact is this bike costs much more then normal 150 cc segment bikes so i believed yamaha gave quality
i have a red fazer by the way

it might have started with a minor scratch and turned into this try using wd40 to remove the rsut and then repaint it, for getting the original fz paint try Com-Paint Touchup Spray Paint, aerosol spray paint, supplier of spray paint,spray, spray paint, touchup, touch-up, aerosol spray paint manufacturers, spray paint,Touchup, Touch-up Spray, Spray Bottle, aerosol spray paint manufacturer, com-paint manuf

chk it out with other bikes and see if there is any difference if their is try getting the pads changed or may just tighten the small nut beside the swing arm

my both side mirrors keep geting loose and move with the wind

after tightening the mirrors in the groove you will have to tighten the locking nut... if you dont they will loosen up pretty easily

my feul indicatos is always wrong

get your console replaced it has a warranty for 3 years

clear sign of color fading due to exposure to sun.... if not wax them properly

depends on the road conditions... get the level of oil chkd in them

the term quality is of subjective nature i dont want to get into it but most of the problems which you are having totally depends on the usage of the vehicle.....

not a problem...
i thought you were talking about the console backlight... my bad...

see the shockers, the rims brakes etc. are all based on usage...
you can tell them to chk for rim bents, to check the connection for the brake light, also test drive any other bike for issues on backfiring and rear brakes....

Rear brake light switch adjustment might be the issue. Gear problem changes with oil change. Mirror also tightable. Suspension issue may be because of low air. They will address these at next service.

Fuel gauge wrong in almost every FZ.

Bent rims means bent alloy. Loss in pressure can be due to bend, poorly seated wheels, faulty valve or even pinpoint puncture.

Which all parts rusting, which all flaking paint? The handle side end is cheap plastic. It turns black quickly. Dark spots inside or outside headlamp???
