Any idea about how much i will have to shell out..Originally posted by Naveen Vajja View PostGet it checked out brother ... often internal injuries will not show externally and are more dangerous. Hope you had insurance to cover the bike.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
That depends on your policy ... also usually wear and tear stuff is not covered. When my brother crashed .. they refused to pay for brake assembly and clutch plates.Originally posted by Kartik Shetty View Post[IMG][/IMG]

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
For a change, I have got a Nil-dep insurance done which covers plastics and 95% cover of all metal parts I suppose.
Only issue is Nil-dep is valid only till 5 years of the vehicle's purchase. After that we can only get a normal or a third party insurance for a vehicle.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Hi all, my bike jerks a lot during the lower rpms. Say 2000-3500 when i twist the throttle hard. But at higher rpms there is no issue. Also if I am easy with the throttle, then also there is no issue. Anyone know about this issue? Is it because of the afr screw? I dismantled the air filter and cleaned it. Still the same response.
I owned a karizma zmr earlier. This is my relative's used fz. Is it because i came from such a high performance bike, i am feeling this issue? Also for cold starts, is the choke mandatory?
RVM is a good tool to see your buddys losing behind while racing :)

Does this happens on a cold engine or it happens both when the engine is hot or cold?Originally posted by vishnurajanme View PostHi all, my bike jerks a lot during the lower rpms. And does your fz has a slide type carburetor? If you dont know about this then leave it.
Post a pic of your spark plug. The part of the plug that goes into the cylinder head.Last edited by Brezon95; 02-26-2016, 04:07 PM.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Correct, your bike has fuel screw. Your method is also correct.
Nominal idle speed for your bike would be around 1300-1500 rpm I think. You tuned to 1400 thats good.
Not necessary to use choke each morning. If the bike starts without choke then no problem. If it doesnt, choke is your best friend.
Now you have tuned it and jerking is also gone that is good. Now ride the bike like you would normally do for about 15-20 kms and then take out the spark plug and post a pic here. That would determine how is the af mixture.
Also after quite a bit of riding do post the changes that you are experiencing.
I cant post my optimal settings because I do not own a FZ.
