Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
If you have bought the Michelin Pilot Sporty please be careful on wet roads, it doesnt have a good wet grip.Originally posted by sivanivas View PostDisconnected choke cable from the lever increases 6 kms per litre! The choke cable was partially engaged all time that is the reason my bike gives low mileage.
Purchased a Michelin front tyre (for 1800 INR) , OE bearing set and fork razor set. Going to change it today.
I will let you know the mileage after replacing the tyre..Timon: Orange Yamaha FZ16 2009

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
I don't think so. Color looks okay to me.Originally posted by Kartik Shetty View PostGuys is my bike running lean? Also what is the cost of getting front forks oil change and seal change at svc Mumbai?
Last year I had enquired about the oil+seal change and the cost was 450 for each fork, including labour charges. It might have increased since then.
Change the oil in both the forks whenever you change it.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Such loss is also caused due to blocked air filter. Clean it or best change it.Originally posted by Duma View PostGuys I am having some problem with my acceleration, its not smooth its jerky.any one face this and two cables going from acceleration throttle in which one becomes loose any prob with that.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
So the bike is new. There shouldn't be any such problem. Was the bike's first done on time ?Originally posted by Duma View PostMine is a new one how can a air filter blocked and I checked it there's no problem in it and odo is1500+
Lean air-fuel ratio can also cause jerky acceleration. Check spark-plug color for it.
Can you post a pic of the cable you are talking about?

Did my service at 750+ and I don't think it's a problem air to fuel ratio, as I don't touch the ECUOriginally posted by nadz11.ns View PostSo the bike is new. There shouldn't be any such problem. Was the bike's first done on time ?

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
My front brake pads were changed about 200 odd kms ago... It is touching the disk at some part... Initially i was told that there is a break in required for the brakes and its not a problem. But i can still hear it and also feel the the pads touching the disk at one point
