I need a very good service center in kolkata for yamaha fazer. I have recently changed my bike's clutchplate from yamaha factory shop kolkata. I dont know why my bike's gear shifting is a nightmare, always stuck at neutral, clunky feel to shifts, have checked with the mechanic after 7 days, they didn't do anything just tighten the clutch lever, and city ride is painful in left hand and gear shifting is still clunky. Should I go to the yamaha factory shop and complain for their faulty service or search other service center with good mechanic. Please advice.
    Regards
    Saikat

      Hi all,

Please take a look at the attached bill and let me know if all the rates are correct. Did the svc charge too much for anything?

Hi man...my bike is 40 k kms old...i had a small fall last month...as i was going towards office an old bugger suddenly darted across the road on his activa...i braked but my front wheel hit his scooter and i fell on my right...the front wheel got jammed and d handle bar was bent...on top of that the fork tubes were somewhat rusted and the fork seals were gone(oil was leaking)...disk pads were worn off and rotor too..wheel bearing was also gone as wheel was shaking a bit...rest i asked svc to general checkup and service...the mechanic did all the changes after discussing with me..am just a bit unsure about all the prices mentioned

                Okay.
I think the amount charged is fine. Lot of work was done.

                • Upgrading to k&n air filter

                  I have a yamaha fz16.
I'm planning to upgrade the air filter
With k&n YA-1611 made specifically for the bike. The question is ,do i need to tune the carburetor?
Some people say that i don't need to as the filter is made specifically for the bike and fits directly to the bike. Please help me guys..

You don't need to change jets, just unscrew ur af screw by one turn

Also, will the sound be as good as the universal filters? For eg: the k&n RC-1060

No it will be slightly more bassy, u won't notice it. For sound go for universal ones but my suggestion is to stick to oem filter if u live in city as dust particles tend to enter the carb and engine there by causing damage in the long run.

My advice, dont screw up your AF ratio just for sound, stick to stock.

                            Hi,
I had FZ few years back and I did used K&N filter on it if you want it work perfectly you have to tune carburetor etc or else engine will take a hit.
I changed back to normal filter after 2 weeks of usage and only thing you get is the sound there's not much performance increase.
                            Regards,
                            Mohan
