Thanks for the reply.Originally posted by Naveen Vajja View PostYes it does ... But more importantly it is very dangerous to ride that way. Please get it rectified ASAP.
AFR adjusted for mileage just means that your engine is running lean which is not good for your engine. Also engine gets heard soon and you will lose on the top end.
Mileage depends on your riding style.
You need to be in the right gear at the right speed. Ride like a maniac and yes that mileage number drops very quickly in an FZ.
Check the chain slack and ensure proper lubrication at all times.
Quit using the clutch and let engine help you in braking.
Was the oil filter changed along with the oil. Was the retainer cleaned as well.
Maintain proper tire pressure.
A bike is like a woman ... Treat her right and she shows you heaven. Ignore her and be ready to face hell.
Please explain these things;

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
When the service center guys adjust for mileage, what they are doing is basically tuning your engine to run lean. But running lean means that your engine gets too hot and god forbid it's too lean and your engine might seize (a bit too much, but it has happened).Originally posted by sivanivas View PostThanks for the reply.

Oil Strainer is an additional oil filter present in our bikes in the Clutch casing which needs periodical maintenance. It's not a replaceable part and needs cleaning every 10000 kms.
More importantly ... get the front checked out :-)When I'm on the road, I'm indestructible. No one can stop me... but they try.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Guys, I have a query. Can an after market handlebar be fitted onto the fz16? Something like a 7/8 Renthal maybe? I will always stick to flat handlebars but have always been fascinated by those Renthal fatbars 😉🙌🙌😆. An overkill some may call it but I'm quite fixated

Well... 😂 I have spent more than 10k rupees to restore my bike to its original condition... I had bought a pre worshipped bike and usually don't like it when it is not in its top condition...Originally posted by sivanivas View PostI Guess, you have almost changed everything in your bike[emoji1].

The Renthal handlebar can be fixed. I had it for sometime before I went back to stock. reason: Didn't want to scratch it. I know its dumb.Originally posted by ALI.R View PostGuys, I have a query.
