Warranty booklet no where says you have to buy oil from ASC only as far as I have seen it.
no i have not seen in the book that oil should be bought from svc.. but 2 things make me wonder.. 1. i have noticed yamaha has pulled their yamalube products from the market.. so i dont think their oil is available outside the svc 2. they have mentioned in the manual that recommend brand for engine oil is yamalube
    Bajaj Pulsar 180 - 2007 to 2015
    KTM RC390 - 2015 to 2018

Yamaha lube is available even at roadside shops in National Capital Region.

You will get full warranty with same grade, confirm the same from customer care.

got a reply from yamaha customer care - "We thank you for your query. This is to inform you that you are requested to contact the nearest Authorised Yamaha Service Centre for details regarding technical specifications for the vehicle."

Their customer care is actually non existent .. they have only 2 solutions .. 1. go to svc 2. show to engineer .. man I couldn't believe such a reply for my query .. it should have been either yes or no .. they just copy pasted a reply

Put motul yourself , they will not get to know whether you've put motul or yamalube [emoji13] [emoji13] [emoji13]

hahaha.. what i'll do is.. buy mineral from them.. maybe even ask them to put it in the bike.. then buy motul from outside.. drain the mineral and put motul instead.. as i ride my bike less.. I'll not change the oil in every service.. but instead change it in like 3-4 services

I put the oil, used it for 1000 kilometers and then shifted to motul 5100. But strangely, recently I've put honda mineral during my 3rd servicing and i was amazed by smoothness of hornet, i easily touched 84 kmph in 4th gear itself without revving hard! In my case 270 rupees mineral oil has done magic [emoji33] [emoji33] [emoji23] [emoji23] . I don't know how [emoji33] [emoji33] [emoji13] [emoji13]

that's really good if company oil is so cheap and good.. luckily you tried and it worked for you.. i would myself use yamalube if doesn't give so much issues.. you won't believe the mileage i got this time.. it was 33kmpl.. it fell greatly from last time which was around 42.5kmpl

Liquimoly oils are also imported oils & they are official lubricant suppliers to MOTO2 & MOTO3 champian ship races.
Did you bought this 1 online or offline.
                              How long it lasted. ?.

Did some research online to kill time. It's made in germany but no dealer list on website.

Price wise it's expensive to motul.

After completing run in period every oil will feel the same. One disadvantage of motul is that oil quantity decreases over time and it's very bad for the engine, i would suggest you to use mineral oil and change it after 2k kilometers. Fz is a smooth bike don't worry , i am getting one soon [emoji7] [emoji7]
