With motul 7100 u won't even notice when it touches 90 to 95.

And no oil leaks like Gixxer.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

This is the most refined engine u can buy in 150cc.

I use motul 7100 10w40 and it's smooth and gives unmatched smoothness.

      Yamaha lube mineral is worst

Yamaha lube semisynth the r15 oil is somewhat better.

Motul 5100 does the trick too for a while.

Motul 300v 10w40 good but overkill.

In my observations 7100 10w40 is best.though it's expensive too.

I have 2018 Fzs v2. Rear disk variant.
Oh nice to hear that iam using LIQUIMOLY oil the bike is silent and smooth easily touches the speeds above 70+. Next time i will try motul oil.

Liquimoly oils are also imported oils & they are official lubricant suppliers to MOTO2 & MOTO3 champian ship races.

              I guess it ll b

              1. The dreaded magneto cover oil leak.

              2. Engine drinking engine oil on long trips.

Engine a bit less refined than fz.

The reasons of choosing FZ over Gixxer are
                1) The gixxers quality is not up to the mark
                2) The suzuki svc sucks.
                3) The pillion seat is totally uncomfortable.

But personally i dont like the design of V3 altough it has got new features like ABS, Single seat, New head lamp unit the overall design is missing that FZ characterstic . I feel the new FZ 25 looks more muscular & Clean[emoji106].

You also have the armada blue variant? did you notice the engine noise issues I mentioned with yamalube mineral (optima prime)? were they solved with yamaha sporty premium (fs oil of yamaha used for r15)?

I have dark knight edition with rear disk. Engine feels at ease and smoothest on FS oil. And feels best with motul. Though I plan to fill Castrol Power 1 Racing 10w40 to see if it fares any better.

                            1. at what odo did you switch to fs?

100kms post purchase. Changed to motul 7100 10w40. And I ripped it all way to 100kmph. Before switching to FS. I am getting 50+ mileage.

                            2. did you first use mineral then ss and then fs or just moved directly from mineral to fs?

I switched to FS by draining factory oil.

                            3. do you do your services at the authorized svc?

Yes. At least till completion of free services.

                            4. if yes, do they allow using other brand oil?

                            Yes of same grade 10w40.

                            5. did you email yamaha to take permission to use other brand oil so as to retain your warranty?

Warranty is void of you change oil grade. For that too only if u tell them that. By looking at drained oil no one can tell brand or grade. Unless some sort of forensic investigation is done.
Which won't happen unless u get swayed away by smoothness of bike and break some law or commit some heinous crime .[emoji3]

hahaha.. you have teased the motul to me big time.. i am getting swayed towards switching to it..

even if the svc people don't check which oil we are using.. but if any day we get an issue.. and go for warranty claim..and if they check our service history.. they'll know we never bought oil from them and surely they'll void our damn warranty.. but somewhere i think keeping warranty and using their shitty oil is not worth it

You can obtain email approval from Yamaha customer care if u so want.

But if dealer is educated enough and not hell bent on extracting every last ₹ out of your pocket that he can , you won't face any inconvenience whatsoever.

Warranty booklet no where says you have to buy oil from ASC only as far as I have seen it.
