Mechanic checked fork also. He said the reason may be front tire because it has almost worn down. What do you think can a front worn tyre makes rear tyre wobble.Originally posted by Kartik Shetty View Post

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Depends on the condition of the front tire.. My Front tire lasted till 34k kms (it had developed cracks) but it won't give you rear tyre wobble. How many kms has the front tire completed? Also try emailing to yamaha india if they're ignorant about the problem. Did u check air pressures? Front & rear both?Originally posted by Aakash Singh View PostMechanic checked fork also. Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Front has clocked 32k kms. And i have contacted yamaha many times. And there is one word to describe them colossal ass hats. They just call you to tell yamaha is very good, you must feel proud that you are riding a yamaha, your are lucky enough to ride yamaha and blah blah and the owner of svc where you go is best person, he always take side of customer, how can you say he takes sides of customer when my bike started giving of smoke after second service and he totally ignored that telling me that i am skeptical . And there service book every part has life of 10k kms. If you complain about piston kit it has life of 12k kms you are lucky that your part has lasted that long, chain set it also has life of 10k kms, swing arm bearings etc.Originally posted by Kartik Shetty View PostDepends on the condition of the front tire.. They start blaming you for every thing why you use motul, why you use that tyre, if you want something in your bike to be done tell him to do it. Then what is manager doing there if i had to tell everything what to change at every service.
So it is total lost cause to call yamaha customer care.
And last yes i had checked pressure it was 29 front 33 rear.
And the idiot i was talking about is S pathak area manager delhi.

Oh.. The only thing apart from all these that i feel is wrong is maybe they have bent the swing arm or not fit its bushings properly... Also send the pic of both side rear alignment marks... Since the front tyre is up for change, why not change it. My brothers bike also had wobbling issue and tyre change solved the problem.
The tyres don't wearout evenly. And this can cause such issue.
Then follow what Kartik Shetty has mentioned.
Ride safe and have fun.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Hi everyone, my name is Farhan and I am from hyderabad.i am a newbie in bikes and recently I bought a preowned FZs, 2014 model and it hasn't been maintained properly and is overly abused.the engine sounds very gruff and am sure the timing chain needs to be changed and the tappets also needs to be adjuisted and many other things. So if there's any fz owner here from hyderabad who can help me find a expert mechanic to fix my poor baby, I will be truly grateful to you brother.SVC are useless here. Moderators please move it to a correct thread if it's not this one. Thanks in advance brother riders.Last edited by farhan666; 12-16-2016, 03:56 AM.

Yamaha FZS is a good bike in all senses. But every parts in the bike has a particular life. If maintained properly can run for lakhs of Kms with the right life for each parts. But unfortunately our SVC's screw up the bike by just doing only the basic cleaning and changing the engine oil. Periodic maintenance if not done meticulously as per the owners manual / service manual, will reduce the life of most of the parts. Well that is the sorry state of our SVC's.
Well to your problem. As per my diagnoses the reason can be the following.- Since your bike did not get the proper periodic maintenance of your swing arm. It would have set to one side as kms are munched and the tyres would also have set to one side due to the shift in the swing arm leading to wear on one half of the tyre. Now when you have changed the swing arm bush and bearing it has set right in the correct position but unfortunately your tyres are already set to the old setting and cannot immediately cope to the changes leading to variation in your riding style.
- When did you change your wheel bearings(front and rear). This also can be one of the reason.
- Your tyres are showing cracks and I would definitely advise you to change your tyres. Moreover when changing tyres try to stick to the original size which will not give you any unbalance.
- Check if your Bolts and nuts are all tightening to the required Specification. As a loose nut/bolt could also affect your ride.
- Check your steering play also.If loose tighten them also.
Hope I could Help you. These are all based on my experience. Please check these points and hope you don't lose your confidence in Yamaha due to poor SVC's.
Cheers

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Your first point may be the answer for my problem because i have recently changed the bearing of of swing arm, and have changed the bearing of front wheel around 12k kms and i forgot that i've changed the rear wheel bearing or not. But i asked the mechanic for checking the wheel bearing during he was changing swing arm bush and bearing, he said bearing was in perfect condition and there is no need to change it.Originally posted by accuengineer View PostHai Aakash,

Regarding fzs is good bike, my bike is started emitting white smoke after 3k kms, and svc guys ignored all my request to check because bike was under warranty. Since yamaha don't care about environment why should i.
And regarding front tyre, i haven't changed it because i'm waiting to find some idiot who can buy my fzs. So i can buy splendor or discover depending what i get from that junk.
And about yamaha's svc, where i service it is the only place which you can trust. All other are bigger thief than gm automobiles.
I bought a fazer from a dealer which had little scratch on the lens of headlight and handle was bit crooked. How can you find handle is crooked until you test drive. So after buying it i went outside the showroom and came back in 5 min for petrol pump. And told them what happened and to my surprise they totally refused it to do something about it and said you must have fallen the bike.
I'm done with yamaha for long but i'm stuck with yamaha's new ray-zr which also a pain in ass.
And regarding wheel bearing is there a fixed period after which i have to change it regardless of what mechanic says.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Bearings have a fixed life and on our indian roads, the amount of stress they have to bear, their life gets reduced. 20-30k kms should be at the max, but I don't think people change them unless there is a problem.Originally posted by Aakash Singh View PostAnd regarding wheel bearing is there a fixed period after which i have to change it regardless of what mechanic says.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
So you are also using zapper q 130/70. Doesn't it fish tails a lot and there is no wet grip at all. Since the day i have changed to this tyre i have fallen twice in the rain. Even if you use rear brake little hard it fishtails sometime. But the tyre is a very hard. My brother in law's stock tyre of fazer lasted only 5k kms and and contigo only for 10k kms, but zapper q even after 18-19k kms is still as new.Originally posted by Kartik Shetty View PostWas experiencing resistance in accelerator while revving, removed the cable & fixed it along with the clutch cable in the loop, now feels much better...

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
In the rains I prefer to keep the rear brake at a loose setting & use engine braking more often. But if i brake hard the rear fish tails pretty badly.. But since it has good tire life,i don't mind having less grip since i don't ride that hard. [emoji16]Originally posted by Aakash Singh View PostSo you are also using zapper q 130/70.
