      Hello Friends.
Is there any tankbag suitable for fz's because the maximum of them are of magnetic type which will just do not work for fz's plastic tank.
      Thanks in advance.

Well only those that are available at the auto spare parts shops and seat cover makers. For mine I've got the old style ones, which you tie it up in the front and fix it with the tank mount at the back. I have also mounted the sides to those Allen headed bolts on the tank, so that they do not move about.

If you are in Coimbatore, it's available at Aditya Automobile Spares and even at ASC's.

Thanks mate, but I was looking for Rynox/Viaterra tank bags, not those cheap stuffs, because I am planning a trip and I want to use only a tankbag and a backpack for luggage.

I am from Kolkata. I also checked at wellington for some kinds of that cheap stuffs but Quality is horrible.

Why not make a custom order, Kolkata is known for leather works! Having a plastic tank covers, we do not have much choice though.

Probably I will ask KTM Duke owners how they mount tankbags. That is the best solution I guess.

Thats a worthy try. Have you tried searching for Rynox Optimus S Tank/Tail bag? That one is non-magnetic.

                              Hai

You know me I am a DIY guy and moreover DIY can be done for any service.

My DIY was mainly due to oil seal bust. Did not want to take her to the mechanic. So did the DIY on diwali. Took me 2 days to completed due the the non availability of the special tool. In one of the DIY for apache I saw that the special tool was made out of 15.5 mm or 5/8" Across flat hexagon rod. This is a common raw material that we use in our company. So Got hold of a 2 foot rod. But the problem started there. After opening the fork, I found that the 5/8" rod was small. I took several photos of the damper rod but could not fig out what the size was. So I removed the bottom allen screw which was easier since I had the allen bit with 1/2" square drive which I attached to my torque wrench. Then once the allen screw was loose. I slightly hammer the 5/8" rod into the damper which gave me some grip as the inside was tapered. After opening the assembly completely I found that I needed a 23 mm A/F hexagon instead of the 5/8" A/F hexagon. I had a 23mm nut. I welded the rod and the nut together to make the special tool.

Then the next hurdle, I completed forgot about the oil seal seating tool (Plastic pipe/cap). I could not find any hardware stores to buy the plastic pipe as it was diwali. So took a old cap and took off the middle of the cap and used it as the oil sealing tool

It is good to change the spring as the spring sets in due to number of cycles of compression and expansion. Moreover it is only Rs.90 each. So changed them.

I have posted in the DIY thread yesterday. Once it is approved you can see the full procedure.

                              Cheers

                                Hi Guys ,

My bike is having issues with self start. Everyday when I start the bike for the first time from Home to office or office to home in the evening , it works fine. I have seen the issue to be occurring only when I have left my bike on Idle standby with engine off. After a solid minute or minute and half , when I try to start my bike , it either does with a weird noise or some times , the bike simply doesn't respond to the self start button at all.

Whenever this happens , the console light DOES NOT dim and it stays normal. Any pointers with this?

I tried reconnecting a couple of things under the seat , it didn't help much with the situation.

This particular component had one connector in brown color. Could it be it?
