@Kinshuk : Tried installing the angel eye but the mechanic was not able to open headlight assembly with the help of hot air gun also because the plastic started melting. And secondly engine lights were not installed because there is no space in the sides because of horn. So the only change I made was headlight bulb!

u should have taken your bike to minerva theatre as well.. there are mechanics there who know how to open up the headlight assembly it requires a little bit of force apart from the gun..Originally posted by Yamaha FZ View Post@Kinshuk : Tried installing the angel eye but the mechanic was not able to open headlight assembly with the help of hot air gun also because the plastic started melting. Yamaha FZ-S Review
As per the above article, the FZ-S has a better headlight (bulb) as compared to FZ-16. Is that true?
"A larger, more aggressive swept back headlight casing now comes fitted with conical halogen bulb-equipped headlight."Always assume the other guy will mess up - Ride Defensively!

hi folks,
thanx a lot for the input, that really helped. i went ahead to the svc guys and they checked the alignment and gave me a green signal that it was perfectly fine. He then rode the bike and demonstrated the fishtailling both ways and told me that it was the rider who could control it...

If u ride a much powerful bike that is more than 500cc u will realize that theres need to reduce your speed by balancing front and rear brakes plus down shift of gears... the physics behind it is that the rear brake mostly pulls to the right and having the sprocket and chain on the left, when down shifting it slightly pulls to the left... so u have to balance the pull on the left and the right for your bike not to fish tail on any side..Originally posted by rylan View Posthi folks,

Hi buddy,Originally posted by shamanthnv View PostI am using Osram NB for more than an year, brightness is very good and solves the problem of poor OEM light of FZ. When you switch on High beam on NB, even cars give respect, diming their light if they are in high beam.
Could u please tell me whether ur using the osram nb 35/35 or the 60/55, and if using the 60/55 how is the spread and the beam intensity.
Eagerly awaiting ur reply.

That is some good observation. I'll try that this evening when i hit the roads.

Did u try to take the 220 on corners? If u do, u will immediately realise the ease with which a fazer turns. 220 is surely heavier around corners since the centre of gravity is located higher than a fazerOriginally posted by rohan_5013 View PostBTW I test rode the P220 today..just for fun
and I was shocked at how refined Bajaj has made their engines now.I've heard a lot about the P220F's bad handling but the bike felt quite "light" to me..the handling was almost as good as my Fazer's..am I missing smthing here??

Apart from the poor cornering ability,Vibes,Fairing Vibes,Useless RVM's and poor over all quality,no,your not missing anythingOriginally posted by rohan_5013 View Postam I missing smthing here??
Except for P220's beautiful Acceleration,i dont find it superior to FZSmoke rubber, not tobacco.

yes YAMAHA!
hello fellow FZians,
my name is Ravi, and i recently gifted myself with black Yamaha fz16 on my birthday on 17th Aug
.
before this i used to have a second hand bajaj pulsar 150 classic (with round head-light), which i bought with my dad's money when i was in college.
i always had a fetish for naked street bikes,,, as soon as Yamaha launched the fz16, i wanted to have have this beauty between my legs
, not with my dad's money but with my own.
i got placed ( i am a fashion designer) just before my college ended in may 2009, and i started earning and saving money for my black beast,,
i came to know about xbhp accidentally while searching bikes community on net 1 and half years ago. from that day i am constantly following this web site and particularly this ownership thread, this thread only gave me confidence that i was choosing right partner for me
.
so, i booked my fz one day prior to my b'day, and they assured me that i'll get it by next day on my b'day. and i did get it on my b'day on 17th of this august
.
it been more than three months and i am done with 3000kms and 2nd second free service. i m really very satisfied with its performance...and attention i get on traffic signals and my apartments
.
i was following this thread for more than 1 year and member since august( when i bought my fz).. but never have posted anything here,,, but after meeting sunny sir
and manan sir
yesterday (at iscon mall ahmedabad -they are on their india tour on ducatis monters) i felt really motivated to be a active member and sharpen my biking skills and knowledge.
and now i am feeling really relaxed after finally being a dedicated member.
from now onwards I'll be a active member and share and acquire knowledge on biking and safe riding
....
