I dont think that bcoz the last time srvc was done they were arguing that the time limit of within 1year/6 free servc was way beyond the limited time,so I dont think they will do it free..what to do??I brought the bike frm orion motors banglore & hav been doing servc from there only..Originally posted by kinshuk.arya View Postjust ask the svc before leaving from bangalore as they allow a one week delay in free services...sigpicBOND BETWEEN 2 LEGS & 2 WHEELS.....CAN SURPASS ANY BOUNDARY....

Are you saying that you are within your KMS to TIME frame limit on the services ? i.e your last free service is due on jan 1st 2011 ??? then you will get a weeks grace period , no issues ...Originally posted by cscsarkar331 View Postwill try to convince them..any other riders who felt the same problem, what they had done,if the tell Iwill b very helpful..
My bikes 1 year b'day was on JUNE 15th and my service was due only on JUNE 30th ... I gave it only in the 1st week of JULY ... they asked and I said it's coz of my exams , I couldn't come and they were OK with it ...
IF they give you any crap regarding that 1year and free services scheme , just give them a piece of your mind and threaten to complain to higher authorities ...
EDIT: nice mods , i too have the Tail LED's , so you plonked an LED in front as well ? I think your asking for trouble in Bangalore with the front number on your visor , especially with our cops snooping around looking for a quick buck ...Last edited by nand15; 12-07-2010, 04:57 PM.People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

2 weeks back went to MRF regional office in Mumbai. Luckily it is very near to my office.
He explained me that its not MRF's fault and their company has tried to explain Yamaha India many times that this kinda tyre is not ideal for Indian roads. And he said that Yamaha insisted in putting the radial tyres instead of the Nylon ones which are best suited for Indian roads.
He asked me to come after 10-15 days and he or some other engineer (if he is not there) will inspect the tyre again and there are more chances that the cracks will increase. Got hold of his visiting card so that next time will catch him. He told me to fill up air everyday as per the recommended pressure.
I did everything whatever he mentioned for 10 days. Called him today at around 12 PM. I saw shocked to hear that he left MRF last week and can no longer help me. He suggested me to go to the MRF office and get it inspected again.
Left office with one of my colleague at 12:30 PM without telling anyone. Reached MRF office at 12:40 and got hold of one of the engineers. He was very nice person. I told him the complete story of my tyre and he was also surprised to see the number of punctures on my tyre. The threading was intact and he too noticed small cracks. After some conversation he agreed to replace the tyre and told me that it would cost me around 600-700 Rs to which I happily agreed as I have spent more than that amount to remove the punctures.
He asked me to take the bike to some mechanic and bring back the tyre. Got hold of one mechanic about 5 mins distance from MRF office. He removed the rear tyre and handed over to me. I asked my colleague to stay near the bike as I didn't trust anyone (Thank god I got him with me, which really helped). Caught a rickshaw and went to MRF office. Seeing the tyre he was surprised. Actually he wanted just the tyre and I took the whole tyre along with the Rim.
After a lot of search got hold of one tyrewala. He removed the tyre from the Rim and I caught a Rickshaw and went to MRF office again (as usual my colleague was with my bike). MRF formalities took some time to complete. Filled their customer service register with good reviews (as I have happy I was getting the tyre replaced). Other MRF person came with the bill and iy was 680 Rs. I was very happy.
Went to the storage section with that guy and tyre. I was really surprised to see the storage capacity there.....it was huge and so many tyres I had never seen in my lifetime. Then one person came with my new tyre and I was really happy to see it.
Got hold of it and rushed outside quickly as the process took sometime. Took the tyre to the tyrewala and he put it back on the Rim for which he took 80 Rs . After a lot of heated argument with him I was forced to pay that amount.
Came back to office, had my lunch and feeling sleepy now. No one knew I was away.
Lets see how this new tyre would behave on our useless roads.

sound from rear tyre
7/12/2010 will be a day i'd wanna forget.
I was turning along a curve when suddenly the car ahead of me stopped abruptly, and in that panic situation i squeezed the discs and down i went to kiss the tarmac, luckily i was unscathed but my baby fz16 bore the brunt with some scratches and a bent handle. I went and replaced the handle right away which set me back by rs. 240.
This morning while i was riding my bike, i heard a weird sound like 'tak tak tak' from the rear tyre when the rear brakes were applied. This is disturbing me. What might be the problem? and is there a possibility of the alignment going off the line.
Awaiting ur reply at earliest.
rylan.

Please advise.
you just can't directly jump from 5 amp to 9amp battery without reworking on the electricals.
I say stick to a maintainence free battery from amaron/bosch/exide with the similar rating of your stock battery.
Cheers
