    2. 35W HID kit DONOT go for 55W(illegal mod if you get caught, legal with projectors installed)(price for HID kit varies from 1600 for chinese brands to 6000 for Philips single kit) ( price for projectors varies from 2k-12k for single projectors for details of projectors check the link in my signature or search for a thread named Let there be Light in Universal Threads Section)

    3. otherwise go for rewinding and you can install a 100w car bulb in it)

Thanks! So if I go for the OSRAM and purchase them .. would the mechs at the SVC fit it for me? or should I just go to a local mech and get it fixed?

I don't think the SVC guys will agree fitting different bulb other than stock ones. You can try a reliable local mechanic for it. Osram NB is a direct fit and hence does not require any alteration.

From your ans to the above query can you explain some points for me please...

        1) In the Fazer.. can you Switch on both the lights and still not harm the battery as you are saying that an FZ can handle the load of a 55W bulb...
Then maybe the same battery can handle the load of two 35W bulbs..(total 70W)..Please tell me Y or Y not..

        2) Or By rewinding do we void the warranty..??
And can this mod be returned to stock if wanted?

        3) Also can we fit a 35W HID on Fazer and switch On both the lights??

I don't think the stock battery can handle it ... I maybe woefully wrong here , but here goes ... battery is 12v and 5A , power output is only 60watts ... P=V*I ... so if 2 35w bulbs are used for 70watts , then it will affect the battery ... coz it has other stuff to power as well , and under running condition , it may not get enough current for it to re-charge ... experts correct me if i'm wrong ...

But I think if you upgrade to a 9A battery , then you could use that setup ...

          • Went to a dealer to ask for OSRAM NB 55W/55W for my Yamaha FZ and he stated:

"the NightBreaker is available only in 60/55W only. It will suit your bike just fine."

            Is this true?

                  3. chain set if its necessary.
                  4. brake pads and brake lining of necessary.
                  5. Special greasing at fork bearing and swing arm.

stuff like brake pads and chain depend on usage and maintenance... so for some they change before 12k while others 15k..
Should I instal a stock air filter or just clean it using DIY method ?

                  Definitely goin for NGK irridium.

How do i determine chain set replacement is necessary or not bro?? My set loooks good, performs flawlessly but if i ask any SVC guy, they definitely wil suggest me to replace.

Disc brake pads were changed at some 5 k kms but what is break lining dude?? rear drum breaks kya?

Special greasing at SVC or local mech?

True, R15 sprockets would give crazy acceleration but reduce the mileage & top end too.. I learned this from the above link yesterday. But I am going to install Unicorn's front 15T sprocket because I'm willing to compromise acceleration & gain some additional top end as I'm more into touring. I hope it works fine

You can notice a good difference in the high beam, low beam is also really good for osram... For me i am happy with it...

as said above it will harm the battery turning them both on.... but since the battery gets charging again it wont make mych of a difference...

                      2) Or By rewinding do we void the warranty..??
And can this mod be returned to stock if wanted?

yes it will VOID the warranty but only if SVC comes to know of it... i would suggest if you get it done revert back to stock in case of problem and then go to svc....

                      3) Also can we fit a 35W HID on Fazer and switch On both the lights??

by both i am assuming you are asking for two HID kits.... you can as the HID kit takes very lttle current after attaining full power but DO NOT switch them ON simultaneously let on come to full power and then only turn ON the other one....

go only if you are willing to sacrifice a bit of low end torque and get some good high end power....

                        2) Spark plug? (NGK Irridium)

NGK Iridium definitely, (costs 550rs, ngk doesnot make iridiums for fz but the iridium for honda shine fits perfectly)

                        3)Air filter (Stock or K&N/Pipercross)

i will advice you to remain stock as otherwise you will have to get in the hassles of upjetting, tuning the carb etc.

                        4) Disc brake fluid / Shock absorbers fluid ?

                        top up if required...

                        5) Chain set ?
depends on the wear and tear..

                        6) anything else requires a replacement?

oil filter if it was not changed at 10k
                        Regards.
Not going for R15 sprockets anymore bro.. It will not serve my purpose

I was told NGK sparkplugs r available for FZ.. are you sure I have to go for Honda shine NGK irridium? Model no pls if you have it ?

Not going for any aftermarket air filter unless I happen to know some nice mechanic to do the required carb changes & upjetting.. Until then I'll stick to stock filter

How do I determine if Disc brake / shock absorber require fluid top u?

Any specific criteria to decide the chain set's wear & tear ?

Oil filter is changed at every oil change so no worries there bro
