How old is your Bike and How many Kms has it run? If it has done some mileage and you re still having downshift issues, speak to you dealer they have an upgraded "Push Lever" for the clutch that will solve the problem and the downshifts will become a lot more smoother.

Ride it till your first service and if you still have downshift issues insist on them changing the 'Push Lever' to the new upgarded one. For me they sent me text messages some 5- 6 weeks back askin me to go over to the dealer and get 'Upgarded parts' and when I got there and spoke to the Service Manager he told me that they'd be changing the 'Push Lever' to better the downshifts. And after that was done the bike is down shifting very surelly and smoothly.

Here in pune when i went for air check up, puncture wala discovered 7 puncture in rear tyre, although tire was not flat. And again next day rear tire got flat. I am damn sure that puncture wala cheated me on that day, and somehow created one more puncture.

so I bought a puncture kit at 150rs, and got a foot pump at 430 rs and meter of 75 rs. Fixed the 8th puncture myself. After that riding rough, did not get any puncture, I keep meter under the seat, and checking air pressure regularly as there are total 8 punctures. But it is running fine, no air leakage from the punctures.
am tired of repairing my rear tyres punctures... total of 7 of which some have been re-repaired and 3 more punctures un-repaired... thinking of am import SHINKO 160/70 17"

              • On lighter note, one thing is sure after buying FZ you will become a tubeless puncture expert, and if you dont DIY, you will loose as much money as the rear tire itself in 2-3 years.

if you were using a mineral oil before this its advised that you go to a semi-synthetic and then later to a fully synthetic oil!

Any authorized dealers ?
People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

                        • Hey guys had a dissapointing experience today My friend has a pulsar 150 and he had a pillion sitting behind him(though both of their combined weights wud be abt 80 kg).I weigh 65 and we had a drag for 10 kms in traffic..We were neck in neck in traffic signals...no matter how much throttle i put,I could not overtake him!!I was going to abt 9k rpm in each gear..and still he won..I was expecting a lot better from my Fazer..even a local P150 tht too with pillion can beat it..I still love my bike and the fz series..but..

Get your air filter cleaned and your carb tuned. Maybe an oil change to FS will work wonders.

                                1. remove the top cover of the air filter.... (cost 0rs consequence you might need an air filter earlier than before)
                                2. You can also get your catcon removed (cost just mechanic cost to open up your exhaust consequence the exhaust pipe may get screwed up and if noticed by the MAMU you might be fined or worst the bike can be impounded.)

                                3. Get K&N air filter installed (cost 4000rs-5000rs..... consequence you will have to find a good and trusted mechanin who can fit the K&N and rejet your bike otherwise the money spent on K&N will be just for the sound and nothing else)
                                4. Local made free flow exhaust... (cost 6-7k... nothing but crude sound)
                                5. Daytona Racing kit (cost 17000rs consequence better power, amazing sound) (contact xbhp member helios for the reviews he has just installed one of these couple of weeks back).
                                6. Buy a new and bigger c.c. bike
Hey what would be the consequences if I removed the air filter cover??No damage to the engine and such?
